I did not say itis OK to shoot I merely tried to make a point that people have something to fear even if you live in a security compleex you are not save
Me and my family was robbed thank God we were asleep when it happened, the investigation officer pointed out that if we were awaken they would have surely attack us
At night when I go to sleep I now lock my bedroom door were before I did not do it
so the point I am trying to make is we don't know yet if he might be telling the truth, most of the persons on this forum has already ccondemn the man without him having to tell his side of the story which might be reasonably true
But in this county you are guilty till prove innocent
it goes as far that in some cases, as pointed out in an earlier post there are vigilantes that are judge jury and executioner, would we rather just hand him over for mob justice? where is the justice and morality in that?

I have to much respect for you to attack you, just pointed out as a law man you would not draw conclusions before you heard his testimony, but still you said "based on what you heard on the forum" which is persons own versions and opinions, , you claimed he was a bangbroek etc.
I am looking forward to your opinion once you listened to his testimony so far.
hope you see my writings in a positive light not as an attack

how can you say he is not telling the truth? he has not given any evidence to what happened
so people who do murder can't experience God's forgiveness and love
that is only for people who live a clean life with out sin?
but I guess in your mind you already decided he is guilty?
you the judge, jury and executioner?

I just want to clarify my position on this case
I am not for OP or against him
All I say and I am sure out there there are persons who will share my opinion is
let the judicial system run it's course give him a chance to make his case and let the judge decide whether he is guilty
I like the fact we can share our opinions on this forum
but sometimes their are persons who do not share opinion
but merely want to slate OP and already decided that he is guilty which in my opinion is wrong
what we all new is he did shot
I am not for OP or against him

Please note opinions not slating OP
opinions based on facts, not speculations
opinions on how you see the trail and inexpert evidence
RF I do not have a fight with you but there are people who make statements with no substance
like in one of the threads a person said he is lying
but the man has not given evidence about what happened now tel me on what do this person base his opinion?

James what do you make of the fact that he first said(as per Roux when cross examining Capt Mangena) "double tap" and now its 'rapid fire"? That to me is already a lie. Also the fact that Oscar has painted a picture of being this caring loving person YET he cheats on his girlfriend, threatened to break Mark Batchelor's legs, has been involved in at least one other assault charge, shot randomly in the air, managed to scare Reeva with his outbursts, goes to a party and is attacked by someone for no reason, gets his friend to lie for him when he is careless with a gun etc - Is that not lying? Has not apologized once before to the Steenkamps and now a year later decides to do so?

ALL valid points so that makes him automatically guilty? BUT it does not mean his version is reasonably true, but the judge will determine if it is or not

What will make him guilty is the fact that so many witnesses have said they heard a woman screaming and his own expert conceded that the first shot was in the hip and thus she was able to scream - Can all those other people with no interest in lying be wrong? I wait to hear his version and how they try to explain no screams and the locked toilet door

james...it seems you have your versions...judging by your posts..now lets take the case aside, and be practical.By practical,i mean ,we all have family,we all have been awaken during the night due to some disturbance or sound, most of us sleep with our partners next to us in the same bed....what would any reasonable man do,..when he wakes up...you answer that...its human nature to look first at the person close to us...you try it...instinctively your head turns to the person closest to you....even if you dont speak..because with any noise...you first check if anything closest to you in the room is still intact, before you go look for the source of the noise....thats human nature,to do that...no matter how gungho or scared you are,no matter how youve been brought up....its instinct to do what i just explained...but having said all that..on channell 199 yesterday i heard something ,that i thought was very pertinent. They had a double amputee speaking...and he said their greatest fear was how do they get away quickly in times of adversity...like the example he gave was if there was a fire, its always at the back of your mind to as how quickly you can get your prosthesis on and flee...so thinking along those lines...maybe,just maybe..u fend for yourself first and foremost before even your loved ones.....just a thought......but i still find it far fetched to believe that any reasonable person disabled/not,do what he did,in the knowledge that there was at least a loved one not even just in the house, but actually in the same bed...

imvho
Far too much theatrics and red herrings, just get on with the reason for the trial.

I'll watch a little today...Barry "I put it to you" Roux will ask candy-coated questions to portay OP as "virtuous" and remorseful so will wait for cross-examination by Gerry Nel to see if any truth emerges...always find it interesting that people seek the guidance of a higher power when they in trouble but do not seek such guidance for their actions BEFORE it gets them in trouble...if they had sought guidance first then they would be on a righteous path and no trouble...
