Those races were about as old as Shogunnar's Daily News run last year at the time of the Summer Cup ...

Titch IMO the 7 at the bottom of the betting boards are simply making up the numbers. Can't see any of them featuring but I have been wrong before and will be again.

Shrek, let's hope the race is run at a true pace, otherwise one of the 7 at the bottom of the betting boards could pop up like last year, don't think there were many who found last's year's winner.

That Derby race was one of the weakest 3yr old Grade 2 races I have ever seen......something had to run 2nd.....and I actually had places on Gothic just because I could not find anything else that deserved to be there.....he plodded while everything else fell away....:S

.....let me clarify the above.....none of that lot are true stayers 2450m is a trip that was too far for most of them.....

The Derby Trial is a better pointer to the Summer Cup ... the same course and distance. Gothic 5,5kg better off for a 1,75 length beating by Wylie Hall, who is quoted at 8-1 (:S).
