Surely this must bring Tzigani in with a chance in the Magnolia...she is equally effective over the sprint trip and is 3 kg's better off with Dolomiti for 0,50 L and ran 3,25L behind Espumanti in receipt of just 2Kg's...judging by the selections where she never got a mention will be a very big price....

Azzman said that it was "a joke" that Gothic was in the race. He clearly didn't see its last run when travelling like a winner and squeezed out with nowhere to go.I think the Azzman gave Wylie Hall a chance, but Gothic is 5,5kg better off with it for 1,75 length beating in Derby Trial over course and distance and 6,5kg better off for 0,5 in Derby.

T, The thing is that Gothic has won a Work Riders maiden and a Pinnacle which is hardly the kind of form one wants to take into the Summer Cup...

Shogunnar had only won a maiden before going into last years race. When has amount of race wins become a criteria for getting into the race.

On current form I would be with Shogunnar but did he deserve to be in the field with a maiden win and a 14th in the Victory Moon if using wins as a criteria to get into the race?

Does a 2nd in the Derby not count as a graded place. ;)

He would have possibly won that last race (watch replay) and regarding the match race Shogunnar was 80-1 at this time last year for the Summer Cup, so you might not have compared him as favourably then.
