Apologies to GOLD CIRCLE

Today is meant to be the 3rd attempt at a Raceday for The Coastal Horse Care Unit and I am suppose to hand over a cheque of R21200 raised from my Comrades run.

VERY disappointed that I don't get a mention from their Chairman in the Racecard, on their website or a Thank-you card, after 11 months of training and sacrifice AND this money was deposited into their account 5 months ago!

Had this been Marcus/DeKock et al, CHCU would be bending over backwards to make sure their thanks was heard.

Instead of wasting my day lunching with an organization that obviously has too much money coming in from other individual achievements, I will eat my sandwich and drink my juice while watching over my boys in ICU at St.Augustines Hospital

NEVER AGAIN!!!

Another charity will benefit next year...

Chris, we sympathize for and with you. Our "Thank You" letter has been ignored 2 years in a row and not published in the premier racing paper, maybe PE is too sml to acknowledge....

We feel that anyone who contributes to our Charity race day should be Thanked as many times as possible. At least we were able to get a letter into Computaform of our day.

With your and Celeste help (and many others including ABC ) we were able to raise in excess of R140000.00 for the East Cape Unit which is greatly appreciated.

Once again thank you to you and your family. Rather spend time with your boys and don't miss them growing up. Next time you look they will be fighting over girls....

Thanks but you did all the work, I just had an item that was interesting and part of a wanted collection

There are MANY good people in this game but knock them down 1 too many times and they become sour or run away.
But Anton shared something with me the other day...

What they fail to realise was that I had kept back 2 items from the PE Units auction and was going to open bidding today after announcing the items when I handed the cheque over...

I thought it would be a nice Xmas present for the Unit to hand over at the Christmas Handicap Raceday on 26th.
