I am hearing the same BOB. There weather has bee nice and hot here over the last 3 days and the turf should have dried up nicely I hope. Should be fine to race on and I don't think the turf would get cut up.

Re Elusive Silva - for once I am in total agreement with Ziets  May still improve of course, but no way a 99 imo - and the run by Wild Briar supports that view (ran to his rating yesterday - which would make Elusive Silva 94 at most)
Also, I imagine the recent rains would have played havoc with many of the runners 'final preps' - so plenty of upsets possible imo

If Edict of Nantes wins tonight in a race he is badly weighted, will he receive a penalty and carry more in the July ?

To be fair to Elusive Silva, while most of the field was being ridden, Delpech barely moved on him so could have won by further. His last 2 starts suggest he may well have improved from his earlier form and certainly the extra distance of the July will suit.

I agree with Tim on this one.....could have won by further. Improving horse who is rated lower than his true potential. His rating will be adjusted upwards after tonight imo. The going will suit him tonight as well. Just looking forward to the racing tonight
