There is no penetrometer reading as yet on Gallop. Does anyone know what the reading is?

With due respect they've had 3 days of great weather so not sure what they going to look at. I suppose better now than once the meeting starts though. The guys at club tab must just not go outside to have a leak as the pull up area will flood for sure.

Race 7 - Elusive Silva 33/10 (into 2/1 now)


Landed me an excellent touch on his comeback win. That was an important win - showed he retained his ability and likes the Greyville circuit. I thought the 33/10 was a great price and it's no surprise to see him shorten. I think he's so well-weighted here. Snaith said Elusive Silva was going to be his Met horse before injury - if you look at It's My Turn who ran in the Met and where he ran there it shows you where Elusive Silva should in theory be rated.

I only have two concerns. First being it's his 2nd run after rest and he's already on the log for the July so while he does have to run well here, he can probably scrape in without winning this. I'd like to see him made to work here so we can see how good he is. Good draw, Delpech up, goes on soft ground, he should run a cracker tomorrow night.

Word is the pen reading is 34 at the finishing post and the bettingworld 1900 will be the only race run on turf so race 89 and 10 will be on poly

was wondering to myself why the reserve runners for the 10th race were not automatically scratched at 10 am and now i know the answer ..many punters out there will not be aware of the rules regarding change of surface but hey who cares
