We can argue this till the cows come home, but if you go strictly on the DN, Captain America is the right one - even if you take every race in which he met Legislate (bar the Guineas), he finished less than 2 lengths behind Legislate, so receiving the 2 kg's this time, makes him a runner, at least. BUT Hatt has chosen Futura, so in his opinion, Futura is better than Captain America at these weights.

VODACOM DURBAN JULY 2014 - Futura for me for the VDJ
Durban Golden Horseshoe - Afrikaburn is something special
Zulu Kingdom Golden Slipper - Carry on Alice - Sean Tarry winner for the day
Nokia Gold Vase - Hot-Ticket with Magic Smoke the danger
Jonsson Workwear Garden Province Stakes - Beach Beauty - But watch for Hammies Hooker, her last 2 runs was something out of this world
Campanajo 2200 - Tribal Dance with Omaticaya and Alexander coming alive
If only it was so easy. Well i will be structuring my bets around these. Small fields = Exotics Paying Bombs

Punta Arenas sucky draw but I still think he has a grade 1 win in him.
Worried about scratching in the July so making sure I get a bet on the tote as well.

10000000%
on top of that, he's only one who survive the early pace of the race, everything else fell apart at the finish.

Ken i am battling to understand what you trying to say, if you referring to the Daily News 2000, because the first three past the post were third to last, second to last and last respectively, turning for home. If you accept that, then they had to pass CA at some point up the straight, so it would be fair to say the first three past the post didn't wilt under any pressure, if anything, they were going away from CA?

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Let's be honest, in the Derby, the KRA Guineas and the Daily News 2000, CA was given every chance at winning those races. I have two theories as to why he won't win the July, maybe he doesn't stay the 2000m, and i'm not convinced he is suited to Greyville, especially judging on he's last two runs. In the Guineas, Legislate dropped him like a hot potatoe, he failed to quicken, and in the DN 2000, he was relatively handy and again failed to quicken. You be the judge.
