No intention to start discussion regarding JZ...methinks that same question applicable though so new thread would have same title...

Regarding OP, today's witnesses held their ground better than others earlier in the case...guess if you do your work properly, fewer holes for Barry "I put it to you" Roux to put in your testimony...

The problem is that either BR knows nothing about guns and ammo or he has an ace up his sleeve with his expert witness....also this was prevalent around the shooting instructor who said that Black Talon ammo was less lethal.....imo the cop explaining how the ammo was designed to fracture was not as convincing either.....that ammo is lethal it is designed to cause maximum damage to the human body as it shreds human tissue and expands and rips up to take out blood vessels and then fractures when it hits bone....a head shot is certain death as even if the victim does not die immediately the attempt to extract bullet fragments will leave one dead on an operating table.....our gun laws on new ownership have certainly tightened up more recently..... but who allowed the sale of this type of ammo.... as it was once illegal here....::o

Nel says only a few more witnesses??
He must surely start connecting the dots soon -I'm not sure oscars' version has been dented yet and still no evidence to motive or premeditation.
Seems to me that if he is waiting to destroy Oscar on cross, it's hard to understand why the "nothing to answer to" submission wouldn't have merit?
The worst state evidence For Oscar so far ,I think,is his own answers to when he is entitled to shoot !
Next week should get really interesting!

I see you already got your answer, Rob. But keep in mind that cross examination is not only that. You have to also tell the witness exactly where your evidence will differ from his. This is crucial. If you dont, the prosecution will have a field day when someone for the defence stands up and says something to contradict the state witness.

Also I want o add that the black witness (forget this name) was the best witness GN had to date. Remember GN's case is based on circumstantial evidence. If the black cop's evidence goes unchallenged, GN has OP in his sights.

Gonna be a very interesting week next week

So the two big questions this week is
who will be GN next witness
and will OP take the stand, read a few reports this weekend that if nothing mayor happens with the states's last few witnesses that the the state hasn't proved their case of premeditated murder and that OP version could be reasonably true, if that is the case it will not be good for him to take the stand, as he already admitted that he shot RS and he can only worsen his case if he takes the stand as I am sure GN has a few uncomfortable questions that he might battle to answer and if he stuffs that up that will then strengthen the states case.
also saw a few suggestions, that I have posted earlier, that, BR is going to ask that the court are going to ask the judge to dismiss his client on PM as they have not proofed it.
if the judge then not grant the request, which OI am sure she will do, he will call a few of their witnesses to further breakdown the states case and sow more doubt.
I think we are in for a very interesting week.
