The horse slashing incident in p.e was proof that very few in sa horseracing care for the horses wellbeing , very sad

I have my gripes with trainers and jockeys not doing their job to the best of their ability just as you have gripes with the officials who you think are not doing their job properly or consistently.

Why do I need to apologize?
It's a fact that trainer has doped horses and been found guilty. What good is that to the industry yet you defending him.
You got the shits with the NHRA cause they fined you for swearing now everything they do is wrong in your eyes.
No one in this industry should use illegal drugs on horses no matter if it's out of competition, you seem to be fine with that.
Stupid response you wrote for a horse caring man.

End of discussion with you.
You got your views and I got mine, let's leave it at that.Even though I'm not a trainer, owner or have anything to do with the horse racing trade, just a small punter who wants all to do their best with little mistakes and the welfare of horses to come first.

I, just like you, I am a punter. Our contribution is everytime we strike a bet, we contribute to the stakes pot.

This is a forum, so people will have different views.

I have realised once people become agitated/annoyed with a pseudonym poster, their first line, is "What's your real name"

If it were not for posters like you, this forum will be dead. You post nearly everyday. We might not agree on everything but by posting you contributing to the site.

Controversy is what sells. The more juicy, the more traffic to a post. Like Paulick Report. More bad articles on horse racing than good.

You keep posting good or bad.

Shot Naresh, don't worry if I have something to say I will say it.
But you see look at that response from Mark. He's an ex trainer so obviously he knows everything and we just fools.
I lose all respect for someone who tells me doping doesn't affect me because it was out of competition.
I think Mark has just made me give up on SA horse racing for good now, probably not even a PA on big days.
Will stick to HK where no crookery is tolerated at all.

I support what is right in the game ..We have horses in the Peter stable....
.Unlike you alway running Jockeys and Trainers down every day ...
Paul was caught with out of competition testing which had no affect to punters like you..He paid his dues .Just like many owners trainers and Jockeys have in the game ...So please leave them alone see what comes of it ..I will be first in line. To apologize ...

You admitting Paul knowingly administered drugs on horses and you still support him, this is not a good thing. Also with Paul's past record ,do you blame the NHRA for being suspicious. Yes a man is not allowed to search a woman,a woman official has to do that. At least you know they dope and have admitted.

......Mark this is the major crux of the problem in that you and many others in racing were led to believe that steroids were ok to use as long as horses were not raced on them and were actually sanctions by the NHRA.....which was so very wrong....as steroids are so very destructive for any one and anything that was forced to take.....I have taken the liberty of bumping a thread on anabolic steroids that was on this site 11 years ago and shortly thereafter a total global ban was in place......yet Paul Peter was caught using these after they were totally banned.....he should have himself got a life ban then and there .....and that would have put an end to any one ever trying that ever again....yet the cash strapped NHRA pussyfooted and went for the cash and thus certain people will still try any sh!t to make a big score......out of competition conditioning with steroidal products is a way to in a shorter space of time get a horse into a finely tuned muscle machine.....and get it weaned of the traces 10-14 days before a race.....here diuretics like furosemide are used to purge....that horse returning from a so called layoff.....shits it and sticks out the many uniformed punters.....so there is no such thing as out of competition usage.....they are only used to make horses super competitive..... .

Hi All, this is a very hot topic.

I was on course yesterday when we got wind of the scratching of the trainers horses etc, the first think on everyone’s lips was ‘doping’.. which I don’t think is right to spread without any proof. Needless to say the punters got screwed over with that move big time- a lot of big bets were landing on street art and main defender.

I am just finding out- is it an obligation on this site to let everyone know your real name? Is using a Pseudonym not there to protects one’s identity?

Secondly, It’s just like complaining about the ANC… we all don’t have to be politicians or members of parliament to complain.. we pay taxes.. so we all don’t have to be trainers and owners to complain about the powers that be or about the irregularities going on.. the betting money and 6% tax allows us to be vocal.. love it or hate it, the owners need the punters just as must as the punters need the owners..

@durbs and Mark you both are good for the and for the industry..
