Tony Peter Suspended

......although I believe that there is a time and place for an investigation.....today was not that day.....as its impact on the game on a big race day such as today only goes on to destroy the sport.....now the NHRA have every right for a search and seizure when they do act......and Paul Peter is actually a NHRA licensed employee in his son's stable and subject to the conditions he has waivered by being subject to those conditions.....and by extension so was his wife who was traveling with him.....this is no different than the precedent already set in the Cyril Naidoo case where his wife was also subjected to a search....this farrucas is a mere side show....to the events that led to his son's almost immediate suspension....and should the NHRA have jumped the gun.....Manny Witz will then eat them for breakfast ....:oops:

Anything in the article about why the immediate suspension and withdrawal of horses? Nothing from the trainer side nor the NHRA side will just lead to endless speculation...

Seen some of the comments on the SP site and some seem think this is a vendetta against a particular trainer even though BI responded otherwise...

Maybe the fellow Clanner who posted previously in defence of the trainer can inform us of the facts of what is going on?

Morning TNaicker…Tony was on the course already when this debacle happened .Paul and his wife stayed behind to clean up after breakfast and celebrating the birth of there Grandchild with owners in the yard and make sure horses left on time for races .The breakfasts is a daily accurance because of amount of time the family put into there yard .Paul is a Assistant trainer which entitles him to be in the yard .The way The OFFICIAL handled himself by abusing Mrs Peters is a absolute disgrace ..The police are looking to arrest him If he was not Guilty why would he be on the run.He has his video footage of what went on ..Yesterday cost us a lot and embarrassment to our guests in a box at Turffontein by the scratching of Captain Hindsight ..Who is going to pay for all the keep vet bills etc .My view they on a wild goose chase with the previous charge nhra have postponed till mid January .Does not add up if they have evidence …Nhra needs to be voted out …But no one will stand together till it happens to them ..Yesterday 1. Step to far ……

Something not adding up here... If you can suspend a trainer by the actions of someone when he's not even there then Ashley Fortune would have been on continuous suspension

The Kentucky Derby Winning Owner is a huge advocate for drug free racing especially in America. He is no fan of Bob Baffert. You can say he is a neutral and have an unbiased view.

All this could be avoided if the bag was searched....

Paul had no objection to either himself or his vehicle being searched as he is a license holder. Marcelle is not.

.....and I am also with Mark Sham on this one as the NHRA seems to be trying to manufacture a bigger case than the Lidocaine positives.....they are in a way complicit as they were initially not hard enough on the bigger infraction of the prior anabolic steroid positive where taking a payoff in the form of a R650K fine instead of an immediate warning off...now with the lidocaine matter further postponed they are trying to hasten an outcome with other alternative evidence.....FFS all they can do is fine and add to the kitty for Xmas next year.....only because they gave far too much rope to start with....they are ill equipped and totally clueless and in need of a serious make over ..

I am not talking about a physical search of a women by a man which is wrong.

If the search was taking place in a premises of one of the operators, the bag then can be searched. It does not matter if the bag belongs to a man or woman.

You need to be impartial.

Apart from the fact that a male was mishandling a woman, the NHA rules themselves say that license holders (no mention of family or friends) can be searched
And he wanted to do a physical search on both of them
