The irony is that Azzie is on record saying that he has lost faith in the objection system. He said his stable won't lodge objections no matter how bad the interference is and he encourages his stable jockeys not to bother.
Must have been serious money involved in this case though....

Lulan, just maybe trainer azzie told karl to object when they were at the unsaddling box ?
Now azzie gives Karl about + / - 40 rides a month if not more. What then do you think Karls options were. ONLY ONE, object - as crazy as it might seem.

Yes elvis , I understand from that point .,, so looking deeper , it seems the azzie money claimed the horse a few times and the stipes collected their envelope for xmas on the way out of the course yesterday ....We have seen so many objections , yes some we can debate on in the past , but this is something new and complete daylight robbery ..This should go down has one of the most brazen robberies in sa history , where no firearms were used but millions of punters robbed ...

No replays on Tellytrack and they showed Kenilworth twice this morning, but no sign of Turfies.
Not the best quality and no head on, but the head on only shows NO interference

Been turned into a racist issue on SP comments.
From what I read it sounds like the stipes in this country have no clue and are incompetent. Is there any criteria needed to get a job as a stipe?

Controversial objections have been around for a long long time and the Stripes in the old days were no better.
Take the case of a race in the late 70/early 80's at Scottsville racecourse.
The race was a sprint and the 2 horses involved were Promontory and Great Star.
Promontory won the race but hung onto, bumped and bored Great Star for almost the whole race according to course commentator Ernie Duffield. Now remember Ernie produced Duff's Turf Guide so he had an eagle eye when it came to comments during a race.
An objection was lodged by the Stripes of that day and age. What seemed to be a formality yet the objection was overruled.
Perhaps the fact that Promontory was owned by Bull Brand tycoon Cyril Hurvitz who was a sponsor and patron of Pmb Turf Club swayed the decision against the John and Mary Liley horse Great Star???
Hurvitz sponsored the Bull Brand Jockey's Int. at Scottsville and it was a major highlight on the program at Scottsville back in the day.

If you need to delete this delete
I've been asking about this and can't get anything confirmed accept that an incident did take place and a groom was trespassing and cheeky to Oom F and Mr F gave the guy a skelp

The 2 stipes who put their hand up to have this upheld should be in charge of soccer matches that end in draws cos they will find excuses to make sure the one team they backed wins even after 90 minutes result is 2 -2 ....If this same chief stipe was the one against Mr ferraris then he obviously have to be removed as he will do similar in the future ..wonder what the enquiry will bring about ..can't wait for that to be published ..whether we get the right version of what happened inside is another story
