Rubbing salt into the wounds

I backed Destined for Dawn last night and had it bankered in my pick 6. To be honest I thought that the horse had got beat but started getting hopeful of a deadheat after watching the replays and considering the relatively long delay in declaring the winner. What really irritated the crap out of me was the totally unprofessional celebration of Dees when the Drier horse was declared the winner. Whilst enthusiasm is great, Dees should consider that for every winner, there are far more losers, and because he has backed the right one does not justify the over the top celebrations witnessed last night. Sure, I am talking from my pocket, but I believe that people who are providing this type of service should be totally neutral.

I know Deez has a great relationship with the kzn punters and the winner was the talk of the course lastnight, he was just joining in with the crowd imo

PS my mate owns the 2nd and salt n wounds came from his lips also :(

For me Deez is way the best. He does not mention and rate evry bloody horse in the race with a chance, and passes on what he has heard. Last night was an anomaly but did make my blood pressure spike.

Note to Deez....contain yourself boet, when microphone still on and in hand ;) ;)

Bob I enjoy Deez, I feel he comes across as one of "us" and I love the feedback he gives when he hears something. I do believe Magi has it spot on when he comments about microphone in hand.

I was at a braai last night and one of the guys had a fairly large P6 perm and had Destined for Dawn a banker ...........................I can't begin to tell you how he reacted to Deez's outburst!

Give the guy a break.
At least he tries to help the punters, better than those that tip and don't bet.

on the night every man and dog on the course was screaming for the 9 to win so IMO got caught up in the moment but I understand he needs to be be neutral.....Deez top of the rest regardless
The best horse doesn't always win the race.
