Irrespective of how many scored in the first few overs at the end of the SA innings the number of runs scored should have ensured the win.
Blame should and must be directed at the captain Faf for his decision to allocate Hendricks and Parnell the final two overs.
IMVHO Abbot and JP should have bowled the final two overs due to Abbot knowing the home conditions and JP as he was bowling spin and would be able to control the wet ball.

Russell Domingo has provided (feeble) explanation for decision to bowl Hendricks and Parnell...
Still playing according to a formula and script (irrespective of captain)...SA going to need more than luck to win anything with this approach...and top players will always be straight-jacketed by orders from above...remember Steyn wanted to go for win in test match against India and Smith felt that it was better to play safe and go for draw rather than lose first test in two test series...
Nobody remembers who came second...only thing that matters in competitive sport is winning so attitude must be to win first and if that is improbable then try to close the game out...
In ODI and T20, winning is only thing that matters...not experiment of bowling Hendricks and Parnell to see what can be learned of them in preparation for T20 World Cup...and fallacy that Parnell has "proved" himself at the end of an inning...he may win you one in 15-20 but his inconsistency will lose you the other 14-19...
But, our blood is green and we support and then rant and then we support some more and then we rant even more...

Good match yesterday, very little can be found out in a 7 over a side game.
I can't believe I am saying this, but I agree with CnC. The WI have a solid side with big hitters and a match winning spinner.
Hopefully we will have a full game at Supersport Park tomorrow night.

just like our racing administrators have no idea, our cricket leaders have no idea.its march in rsa and we have no midweek racing in the cape, where we have little to no rain from late sept to at least april and as far as cricket goes newlands always gets the biggest crowds yet no t20 for newlands where you guaranteed to get a full game with no rain.dont any of these people in charge of cricket and racing have any idea of what they are doing in scheduling of their events?
as for the game at kingsmead, that 7 overs a side was a compete joke and i dont know how anyone can take that game seriously and even waste there time discussing the merits of the capt, the choices he made or the result of the game.

We are too rigid in our approach so it's not going to be "adapt"...
