He just sapped all the momentum Kohli was building. Cost India the title.

Maybe not after today, you could see how frustrated Dhoni was in the dugout. Sri Lanka held their nerve and got a well deserved victory after failing to chase down a similar score 2 years ago.

Caste plays a significant role in Indian team selection...
I've mentioned before the Sachin Tendulkar / Vinod Kambli comparison and a more recent instance in Robin Uthappa and "NO HIT" Sharma...started careers at similar time and one was given more opportunities, more tolerance to cement their spot even though the other was the better player...caste prevents a person rising beyond a certain level in society...
On a wider application, religious and race wars have long since been lost...the class war (in its various guises) is the final frontier...
In the words of Selina Kyle from The Dark Knight Rises:
"There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us."

And then a new upper class will arise, no better than the last one. And so it will go on, as it has since the human race began.

But there will be a nasty comeuppance for those that are deliberately / blissfully ignorant of the plight of billions before the "new upper class" arises...if ever in the same form as has been allowed in the past...7 billion people on Earth is 2-3 billion more than the Earth can sustain and with resources scarce, the disparities between the "haves" and "have-nots" become more visible / stark...more so than at any other time on Earth..
