I don't know what the 'Dragon Fay' incident was - but if there is a problem between the 2 jocks (and I agree with Thor, I would like to hear Gavin's side as well), obviously it needs sorting out.
However on yesterday's incident alone, to my 'untrained' eye, I did not see anything wrong with Gav's ride - yes he rode to win, and his horse did drift a bit to the inside after Striker has switched in, but I can't see how anyone can say for sure that this was intentional. And even if it was intentional, I have seen Striker doing the same on many occasions (so I don't follow how this 'movement' coud be seen as dangerous, but when Striker does it, it's just 'normal race riding') - I'm with Flash - cowboys should not cry :

The difference is that he knows how to do it - most of the best riders in the world are masters of the subtle drift when a horse is closing on them, but the key word is subtle.

Couple of years ago at Greyville I remember Mark Khan and Striker involved in an incident in the Lonsdale Stirrup Cup where one of them whipped the other during the race or just after the line. In the end none of them ended up winning the race as The Badger won with Jeff Llyod. I think the horses that they rode were Superwood and The Eiger Sanction.

With you FRODO, look at the head on, good ride from Gavin to, tried to keep Dark Ages straight with the whip in the right hand when the horse changed legs and hung in at the 100m onto Pierre.
I am taking this race as a stand alone not bringing in any other race to effect the reading. IF I asked you cold, not knowing who rode which horse up to the finish, what would the answer be?.
Great competitive rides from both.

I remember being on a horse ridden by Pat Eddery at Kempton and a closer was definitely doing enough to overtake him late.
Just as the challenger reached his hindquarter it suddenly hesitated for a crucial split second.
99% of the spectators and probably the stipes too didn't know why it had done that.
However a friend with me had spotted that Eddery had changed the arc of his whip for just one motion to a wider one.
It had flashed in front of the challengers face and this was enough to win him the race!

In the post race interview Striker buries Lenera twice, 2nd being for the inward movement close to the line. Totally uncalled for seeing he is guilty as sin for executing such tactics (td)

2 cents, you study races and form all the time.
1)Please refer me to the race where Piere does the same horse both sides.
2)Also, please look at the race again and convince me and everyone that there was space for Piere to get through on the rail, had he not been as quick to switch as he was. Not a "tight" situation, but a blatantly closed gap.
3) And then also please refer me to a race where Piere did this... not just tightening things but taking the entire gap AWAY.
No, elephants just cannot do ballet, my friend, just as Ostriches dont fly. That's the difference here.

Some people love lerena, those people need to remember that a jockeys life is not to be taken lightly. Accidents happen but if things start getting nasty then it wont be an accident.
