Sorry all, I disagree with some of you - there is a HUGE diference between the subtlety of Striker's balance and the timing he puts into his mount changing legs and making it just a bit more difficult to get past him and what happened yesterday.
Striker will never close a gap down in a dangerous manner nor with obvious intent to interfere. Nor will he repeat the move in the opposite direction making his intentions so obvious, so clumsily. At no time in the last 25 years that we have raced together can I recall Striker maliciously targeting another jock or doing something blatantly dangerous.
Ultimately, Striker has just too many winners, too long a distinguished career and, indeed, too many titles to be compared to some good riders who will never ever achieve his level of brilliance or finesse. In their attempts to copy Striker, many look like elephants doing ballet and whereas Striker's only goal is to win fairly, the elephants doing the ballet are so committed to stopping him winning that they mostly cost themselves and the connections as well as endanger the lives of others.
And Gavin's envy or whatever, which causes him to focus more on Piere than on his own mount, has cost him winners and has cost him more than it has cost Piere, has become so obvious that even Stevie Wonder has seen it and the rest end up laughing at him.
The punters and connections were saved yesterday by Striker's huge experience. It could have been the other way round......
One thing's for sure - Striker knows the drill and will keep playing him on a break and until Gavin forgets about Piere and puts all of his focus into his own mount, he will ride less winners and have less success.
Because the really top riders on the planet dont have time for this crap - they put all of their energy and ability into their mount, which is why they are greats and not just "good riders"
