Here lies the biggest problem.....trainers waiting for a top horse to find them.....like fishing without bait.... hoping to foul hook a big one.....:S
Boys take a leaf out of GVZ book.....he gets people to consult on his selections and does not hide the fact that he needs assistance.....(tu)
I had a long chat with James many moons ago.....nice fella to chat to..... but finding horses....it's best that they find him...

Strike rates do not pay the bills nearly as fast as having decent horses winning bigger purses....
Check on Romeo Francis curreny strike rate.....may find him to be better than MDK at this point in time....now check on MDK's total stakes and compare them to that of Romeo Francis.....:S....I rest my case....

For me trainers are like the horses they train, you get get terrible ones and great ones with a whole lot in between.

But on James Goodman specifically I wouldn't rate much better than an old D division campaigner ...

Surely the challange for the smaller yards is to find a good horse in the middle to lower price range?
I pick more winners watching the horses going down to the start on TTrack than the BOFFINS !!!!!!!!!!!

That's the easy part.....try picking them 2 years before they get to the race course.....when they have long hair hardly no muscle tone and look like ponies....

Below are some of thr good horses I know he trained. Given the right stock any trainer is capable.
You will notice he has had good sprinters to stayers.
Gold Tax - Winner of the Champions Cup
Highborn - Winner of the Premier Champion Juvenille Stakes on July Day
Shadow Hawk - Multiple winner who was El Picha half or full brother
Cowbunga - Multiple winning sprinter
Jungle Junction - Multiple middle distance winner (won on July Day in Gauteng)
Cato Court - Multiple winning stayer

GG that is what we all try and do but if you do manage to get one it is normally a fluke as if it had straight legs and a good pedigree then only the top buyers(trainers) would be able to buy them. Thank yoy Anthony G. Your support has shown that guys not in the top 10 do actually know what they are doing.
