Even if Taipan does win tonight, you have to wonder how much shorter horse beaten by Polar Bound (25/1) by 5 kgs and 2,5 Lengths can actually go. Polar was impressive in the Peninsula over 1800, if you like Taipan....how can you miss Polar?

in all this melodrama,pls dont forget the horse that beat Taipan last time.
Post race,trainer said next mission will be BW 1900.if Polar wins that,will be in July,and if Jacksons carrys the pudding-
this horse will be a lively runner.

Taipan down to carry 49.5 in the 1900,makes you wonder

IF Taipan can beat English Garden at these weights, he would be a massive runner in the July

English Garden, wouldve put house on,if he was same horse now as he was last year,but he is nowhere close

i may be way off the mark but last year e,garden had a good gauteng season then a good natal season..this year he had a poorish gauteng season in fact he hasnt run to his current rating for some time plus his bleeding issues are well documented...taipan very good last run but there is nothing in his formline i can find that makes him a cert in this field as he skipped the cape 3yo features ..whiteline has group form and has been gelded lately...rio carnival 3rd run back loves greyville and right beauty has his 3rd run back shd love the distance and from abad draw wasnt far behind whiteline fever in a feature//..the value is certainly with whiteline rio carnival and right beauty but like i said i could be completely wrong as i have on many ocassions...if e.garden was anywhere near his best he shd be 1 to 4 in this race
