Barry, I am sure Rael Levitt who was the previous MD of Auction Alliance could advise TBA on how not to conduct an auction. There are far to may instances where bidders are bidding against themselves until the reserve price is reached.

If TBA continue to run their auctions in such an unethical manner, it will be a matter of time before the same fate of Auction Alliance awaits them.

I chatted to Phumelela and they are looking at re-enganging with you guys to get your feedback - I have emailed them some comments that have been made and told them it is a great forum to communicate..in the meantime I will help get any of your feedback on issues to them so they see that you guys have great feedback for them.

In terms of our auction we are abiding by new CPA laws on auctions and bidding that says we need to have ID'd all buyers through a paddle or a sticker on the back of the catalogue. We will use the sticker option as is not as invasive as paddles.

We are also proposing vendor buy back cards as we strive for ensure honesty and integrity at our sales.

And please have some faith...I have been busy visiting breeders and therefore have been a bit quiet..!
