R1: I think Shikoku hard to beat if she is not affected by the ‘2nd run after rest’ syndrome; see there is some support for the juvenile National Star, but for me she has moderate form and also has something to find only getting 4kgs from her elders, so I think if Shikoku does not reproduce her last run, Mayenne should pick up the pieces

R2: Again a juvenile Kuznetsov is finding support in the market; again I think the 2yr-olds have something to find at the weights and I think Forward Spell is good value – not the best draw, but should still find the first 3 imo; Sea of Galilee tries shorter again and from a good draw should feature; others to consider Vengeance Forever (should improve this trip and nicely drawn), Free Wylie (better further ?) and then the juveniles Climate Control (imo if he wins this from the draw, he has a great future), Equestrian Affair (fair draw and could improve this trip) and Kuznetsov

R3: Competitive handicap; I’m not that keen on anything and the betting looks a fair reflection of the chances of the runners; for the PA I think one should survive with the top 3 in the betting

R4: Another open contest where only Whorly Whorly looks to have no chance; again for the PA one might be ok with True To Life, Bohica and Winter Stories – for the P6 I will definitely include Kwite a Trip

R5: For me this is the toughest race in the P6, so I think one needs to include all of them; Cleaver Greene looks held, but last time was drawn 1 on a day when it was a distinct advantage drawn on that side of the course; so could get closer to Alula’s Star, but still a tough task; best value imo is Remember When, who looks very well weighted; Mufasa and Sound of Warning have obvious chances and Alesian Chief also very capable at best

R6: Can't see anything else bar Kommetdieding and Al Muhtana; for me I think Kommetdieding is obviously all class, but is better over further and also I think his main target is the Champion Challenge in a month's time, so I do fancy Al Muhtana, but would be stupid not to include both in the P6; next best I think could be the 3yr-old Captain Lannister who ran a very good race in the SA Classic last time, but still has something to find imo

R7: Looks a gift for Rain in Holland; only slight chink in her amour could be the distance, but she seems so much better than the rest, that unless she totally compounds over the last 200m, she will win; Clafoutis has stamina on her dam side, so is probably a danger should RIH not see out the trip, while for me the best roughie could be Princess Kesh, who at least has placed over 2200m and could be better place value at 18/10 than RIH to win at 1/4

R8: Red Saxon surprised many people (including me) last time when winning the SA Classic, I neglected to take into account that his dam has stayed and also produced a staying sibling, so based on that he should also stay this trip; he comfortably holds Aragosta on that run, but there could have been something amiss with Aragosta that day and being out of dam by Galileo, should also not have a problem with the trip; Zeus was beaten all ends up in the SA Classic, but also is bred to see out this trip and could be the dark horse; Litigation imo won against a lot weaker last time and I also have some doubts about whether he will be as effective over this distance, but probably not the best move to ignore him completely; London Roads finding some betting support, but not for me this class at level weights

R9: Not the easiest close to the P6; both Tarry runners look live-wires, but at the weights, cases can also be made for Smoking Hot, Barak and Green Haze, while African Adventure won this race last year and has found some support in the market; to be safe I think one needs the field in the P6

R10: Open handicap, your guess is as good as mine

Enjoy B)

OK with you, remember MO (the first Catholic to play for the mighty Glasgow Rangers) since the war.

Cheers from a Jambo 😉

The question is if you play the obvious pick 6 for R1280 will you get your money back if it arrives?
Maybe there is a surprise?
