Grey Princess runs in the 6th race at Fairview today. Slightly better run last time and hoping that she can show something of her old form in a moderate field.
Power Surge ( co-breeder with Maine Chance) finally shed his maiden today in race 2.
Pretty Betty had to do a lot from the draw and looked a winner 200m out, but the headwind, the weight and the early exertions got to her. She is holding form and will run in the end of season feature races.

A couple of runners at Scottsville on Sunday. Exceeder has relocated from CT and should be in with a shout in race 6 and gets a good draw after the scratching.
Indigo Fields runs in race 9 in a very open race and must have an ew chance with top jockey up.

Good second by Indigo Fields.
One runner at Vaal today- I Am Who I Am in race 1. Quite a tough task for a 2yo this trip, but gets most of the WFA allowance if the WR can make 51.5kg. She was hampered last time so if the WR is up to the job then I think that she can upset the favourite.
One runner at Kenilworth on Wednesday- Nothingelsematters in race 8. Improved nicely last time, but a tough ask at the weights being 4kg out with the 3 yos. He should enjoy the step up in trip, but perhaps should rather have run in the juvenile race 3.

Four runners at Kenilworth today
Race 1 Quasimodo drops back to 1200m in a shallow WR race. Stable companion Kimball O'Hara good debut against much stronger looks hard to beat. Quasimodo looks next best of the raced runners, but there has been some support for the first timer Captain Corrupt.
Race 3 two lovely fillies, Helen's Legacy and Beau Kala make their debuts. Both are nice types, and both bred to go a trip. Simply Beautiful and Inara's Dynasty have the form to fight it out, but anything could fill the quartet behind them.
Helen's Legacy has had grass galops, so probably more ready than Beau Kala, but hoping to see decent debuts from both.
Fynbos in race 7 should be competitive in this lineup, as the girls get a weight allowance. Jasmine looks the one to beat. Navy Strength improved in good company last time and must be respected. Tin Cup is lightly raced and probably better than currently rated

A couple of runners at Fairview on Friday, and I hope that it stays on turf. Elusive Jewel runs in the first race. She is still learning what it’s all about and expecting some improvement.
Miss Jacqueline runs in the 6th. Have fitted the Cornell collar and she should run a much better race as a result.
Vic Falls is a reserve.

On Saturday at Kenilworth Pretty Betty runs in race 6. She won this race last year, and she comes back fit and well from her travels. A tough field and she would need to bounce back to her very best form to win. Don’t leave her out.
Major Attraction runs in race 7 and although she is better a bit further she has an ew shout.

Major Attraction a very narrow loser and the first two pulled well clear of the field.
Pretty Betty an inexplicably bad run- very disappointing.

Dave the King is one for the notebook. He ran a similar time to the winner of the Champagne Stakes carrying 2kg more, and with the 7.5kg WFA difference he could have run 115 !

One runner at Scottsville on Wednesday- Drama Queen in race 6. She is up 3 points for her recent win, but is fit and well and should still be competitive here with a fair draw. She will soon be retiring to stud, so hopefully can pick up another race.

Three runners at Fairview Friday- all very open handicaps and no great expectations especially as the two round the bend bad draws.
Mhlabeni race 5; Jean Paul race 6 and Vic Falls race 8.
JP may be worth a small ew. Last was too short, and previous two this course and distance fair runs.

Well done PeterD on Jean Paul. Was almost 60/1.

An amazing day for the Sharon Kotzen yard with 4 winners including our boy Jean Paul. Mhlabeni an excellent second from a very wide draw.
Vic Falls will retire.

Final runners of the season at Kenilworth on Sunday.
Race 2 Lady Renee debuts. Likely to need further but if not too green could sneak into the places. Nice filly and has galloped at Kenilworth.
Race3 Nothingelsematters. Never in the race last time but not the strongest of fields so hopefully will bounce back but tough this trip for a 2yo.
Race 5 Quasimodo. Another 2yo taking on older, but again not a very strong field and should earn another cheque.
Race 6 Treasure Hunt. Has been very consistent last few and again in with a decent ew chance, but has to give weight all round.

Very good run in 3rd place by Nothingelsematters- still green and ducking around in the straight, but took off like a train the last 200m. Will win soon and could develop into a promising stayer in time.
Quasimodo also placed again.
Treasure Hunt rather disappointing. Lady Renee still very green.

Indigo Fields no show at Greyville on Friday evening.

Thursday the stallion day at Drakenstein Stud. As always, great hospitality. Good to see Trippi still in good health. What a Winter, Futura, One World and Gold Standard the others on display.
Friday the turn of Ridgemont Highlands. Real Gone Kid, Canford Cliffs, Malmoos, Rafeef, and Potala Palace. The weather played ball and another fun day.

Three runners at Kenilworth on Saturday.
Race 1 Aussenkehr returns from a lengthy break after a poor debut. However, it seemed to me that he was rushed to compete in the sales race, and was reported shin sore, so that run should be ignored. He has been given the time by the yard, and this mare has a top strike rate with her progeny. I would hope for a much improved performance today. The favourite, Red Impact, looks hard to beat, but throw him into quartets and trifectas.
Race 2 Helen's Legacy ran on nicely on debut behind a decent sort, and with natural improvement should go close today, although she will be better over further. I'll Slip Away looks the best of the other raced runners, but first timers could have a say.
Race 6 The F&M race did not attract enough runners, so Major Attraction runs here. Has a big weight to shoulder against some decent sorts, but she is in good form and is ideally suited to this trip despite having run some really good sprints. Should again fight out the finish
