Can the tote please respond?

Why is it that the local exotics for Australia start so late each day, and only on a single meeting? Referring to the SWG TRI and QRT bets.

We had one day last week where the exotics at Aus started at 10am as was always normal pre-lockdown, and the pools were good all things considered. Everyday subsequently the local exotics have only started at around 12pm and only on a single meeting. By that time most people, along with the coverage, are focussing on SA and UK racing.
With the above said, it's clear that there is a glaring slot for local exotics on two selected Aus meetings each day from 10am to 1pm each day, as was always the case for ages before lockdown. Can this please be returned? I got happy when I saw the 10am start the other day but it was never repeated, can we have consistency?
When there is Singapore and Hong Kong racing the local exotics start at 8am and 9am so there really is no reason why this shouldn't happen for Aus.

I will appreciate a response and hopefully see this change going forward.

Not sure wat their excuse will be when you just nailed in the head.

Its just another post that goes to the dustbin without action from the tote.

I would like to think that one of Phumelela business rescue action plan doesnt require tote to offer exotics.

Maybe with the cancellation of local racing tomorrow they will now realize the importance of posts like this, which has been met with deafening silence.

They will rather revert to level 5 gear. Brace yourselves for Milnerton races throught the day.

Tabgold used to have a sort of forum on their site where you could voice your complaints or ask questions.
That lasted a few months until they found out with all the complaints they where getting they looked like complete imbecelles on a public forum and they quickly stopped it.

Hi Bob, please post

The challenge with local pools on international races at certain times of the day is to ensure there will be sufficient players for the pools to achieve critical mass. Prior to COVID-19, local pools on Australian races were scheduled from 10:00 onwards, but in those days TABs opened at 09:00 and by 10:00 there were usually sufficient retail and online players with an interest in Australian racing to generate credible pools. Currently TAB’s retail footprint is significantly smaller than pre coronavirus and stores only open at 11:00. Hence local pools are generally only offered on Australian races after 11:00 and are restricted to one race meeting in order not to dilute what money is available.

1. Why did you took ( at least) 3 days to respond to such a normal daily operational complaint from punter(s)??

2. a) You are talking of dilution effect, is there ANY day you offered the exotics at 10am and the pools were pathetic?
b) Why do you think of the dilution effect on Aussie market only but Kranji, Mauritius & Turffontein can run parrallel with full exotics without any significant dilution effect?

3. Which market/ data did you do this research on to the extent that you rely on without any try?

4. You took huge gamble on Kranji to offer quartets from 6am, are there any totes that open at 6am? Where is the decent money coming from?

5. Going forward, where do we file (email, phone, fax or write a letter) our complaints inorder for us to receive response faster?

On Kranji, Singapore, I posted this on another thread, the exotic pools are commingled with PGI hence the pools are much bigger.

On another note the Pick 3 for Singapore for the last meeting of over 5k was not caught but the horses that won was all fancied.

....again a typical dogs breakfast....no wonder local racing hit a brick wall....they have no clue what punters want and when they want it....forget your walk in punter as they are no longer a way to gauge product interest.....times have changed drastically the online punter is now your key market....I was told that the take from Ozz co mingling pools were bigger in the space before 8am way before COVID crisis meaning it was beating the walk in traffic from totes at 10am yet they continued to use it as the measuring stick....these later morning starting Ozz flat venues are ideal for add on full exotics....FFS your market was home bound during lock down yet the opportunities were again squandered.... I hope going forward that the guess artists are shown the door and put some people that are on the pulse to take advantage of every opportunity of getting revenue and not burden the financial grant to rescue the game....if racing wants to sustain itself they need to tap every feasible betting opportunity......
