Those countries have leaders who are wannabe rulers but the ballot box keeps them in check...here we have rulers and dictators that display their arrogance of ignorance as there are no consequences for their folly...

Who would you suggest on the dream team?
Plus how would an outsider get his foot in the door?
I would think that any "keyboard warriors" as we are now called, might battle, although Easy is trying to get a place at the table with SABOAT to give a voice for trainers, owners and punters.
With some good suggestions, sure many others have inputs.
Dave I dont have names for a dream team but if I had to think about it Alex Hogg, Robin Bruss, Brett, Robyn Louw, Steve Reid are certainly people who should be considered, i dont really care who is on as long as they are honest and have upstanding morals and are there to put racing first

Mr A
More important than honesty and upstanding morals at this stage would be to get competent people into positions within racing where they can make a difference. Also I believe that the task is such that full time employees are an absolute necessity. I dont know the skills set of the people you have listed but would think that Alec Hogg would have to recuse himself as he is a previous Phumelela director. Robin Bruss is a NHA director and runs a successful business so Im pretty sure he wont have the appetite for the mess that needs sorting out.

Ota they were just names for the sake of responding, as bad as it sounds I personally think its game over unless some minor miracle happens, the 300m could just get soaked up in the Phumelela sponge and I dont think there will be punter money flowing as before, so now more than ever there is no room for mistakes or self service, but i will be shouting for whomever is on the team as the potential loss of jobs is horrific

I don't think the whole team needs to be full time.
Personally I would be happy to sit at the helm for 3-6 months as a "get things done kinda CEO"
Surrounding myself with top class new people specialising in their fields to execute
and having a weekly 2 hour session with industry participants with ideas and solutions.
You not need to be a racing man to run the business ( i am though) you just need to surround yourself with a proper team.
( we spend our lives asking them to listen to us but they don't.....they really should learn)
On The Columbine Massacre Marilyn was asked what would he say to the people of Columbine
"Marilyn Manson : I wouldn't say a single word to them. I would listen to what they have to say, and that's what no one did."
The greatest lesson learned by the greatest leaders is to listen.
