Ok Mr A txs.

Who would you suggest on the dream team?
Plus how would an outsider get his foot in the door?

I would think that any "keyboard warriors" as we are now called, might battle, although Easy is trying to get a place at the table with SABOAT to give a voice for trainers, owners and punters.
With some good suggestions, sure many others have inputs.

Let me just clarify something. If I were to get a foot in the door it would be conditional. They would have to agree that my time dedicated to the task at hand was to be re numerated at zero and that any position on any body that oversees racing would also be at zero.

My Idea for Saboat.org was to aggregate the voices and then build and organisation with me involved in what ever role the majority wanted or not. My feelings is that anyone else trying to do this were fearful of victimisation. I have to believe that the famous 5 ( i just thought of that now) will accept all our comments as well meaning and that we actually all want the same.

During my campaigning for saboat.org there were at least 3 trainers that wanted nothing to do with ANY group. They had given up on having a voice and just wanted to be left in peace. Although I understood their plight and respected it silence is not the answer.

If we read above what DS has written for example and how racebook came about we have to still ask ourselves did they play the man in form grids or the ball. I personally think they played the man over and over again and DS is one of the people that I feel is owed an apology by the newco and a 2nd chance to be a positive contributor to SA racing.

Racing relies on the punter, but the punter will be the last person to be contacted on plans and ways to keep them involved in the game

They might get a shock when racing starts back and the pools have shrunk...

The Famous Five are already compromised. I fully agree that anyone who has had a senior role in the Jooste empire should NOT EVER be allowed to play a role in the new structures. That should be totally non-negotiable for obvious reasons.

At OTA

I would agree but who would be in power or in the position to give such a directive?

Dave there has to be many owners capable of being on that board. Many are already heads of industry and capable of bringing business acumen to the table. The question is what the appetite is to admit outsiders.

The reality is "to the victor the spoils" and Mary basically owns racing in P land so she can put in whom she wishes. I find the CTS head honcho a strange choice but its her money, her risk.

Any man that can be so tight with Jooste yet unafraid to put his neck out no matter what any one thinks or says either has a high tolerance for the glaring scrutiny or is just plainly obtuse.

Don't forget that he also runs a highly successful bloodstock insurance business and got most of his big premium business from the Mayfair set up. I think it was through the Jooste business that he really became the top bloodstock insurance dog. Wonder if he can now sway Wilgerbos and Mauritzfontein his way.
