The silence is deafening , begs the question how many other atrocities in racing have been swept under the carpet in the past

Its " Easy " to call the odds thousands of miles away. Don`t take your trouble to Durban they don't deserve this. Get your Saboat going!

Black Arthur, how about telling me your name and if you represent GC racing in any way shape or form.

Perhaps then we can have a discussion on my "protest" and where I/ We should have it.

1:Now onto more pressing matters. Its days and still no word from the operator to the owners. The NHRA pretty much the same, I have had correspondence from Mrs Rowett but the email must have run on out ink because after the "facts" there was still no " my thoughts are with all through these trying times"

2: can someone please price up who the trainer was that paid the R100k for the problem to go away

3: Where are the famous 5 on this matter

4: where is MOD on this matter?

5: Had Betfred won the bid (i dod not fancy them anyway) then this would have been sorted because UK based company would lose it all not standing up for the rights of animals

6: The RA .....I have no words

7: how do we prevent this from ever happening again?

....Easy, this is not easy ......the people and organizations you are calling out cannot act on an impulsive /knee jerk reaction as the situation is complex and needs to be investigated and researched....sure something other than a simple labour matter has triggered an appalling reaction and the consequences to our local racing are most damaging...to add to this racing is in the process of being restructured and many have been caught flat footed and would be seeking consultation before issuing statements and possible remedies....

Easy let me begin by saying how sorry I am that you, or any owner for that matter, have been subjected to this savagery. I share your outrage at the absolute lack of empathy from the authorities for your situation. Let me have a go at answering your questions:

1. Mrs Rowett - let them eat cake while doing fokol in Monaco

2. Alan Greef would be deep in the red.

3. The famous 5 are waiting for directions from the Northern Cape HQ

4. Refer to answer no.3

5. Noted and agreed. We have a structure that is effectively captured and incapable of meaningful action

6. In my opinion the only change that has occurred is that the individuals occupying the seats have changed. They are as useless as the previous bunch.

7. We cannot prevent this happening again if those in power remain there. I would suggest that the powers that be study up on their history and in particular check out how Chamberlains appeasement policy worked in stopping WW2.

all of you are missing the point and dont get whats going on here.
take yourselves back to the old aam slogan which drove us mad
no normal sport in an abnormal society. remember ?
well here you are expecting normal sport in an abnormal society
rsa is now a failed state. my definition of a failed state is when the rule of law collapses. i.e. when the saps cannot or will not enforce a court order.

seriously you lot all want to know what the nhra or mod squad intend to do about this . dippin blu had a court order protecting themselves against this eventuality and look how that worked. what do you really think anyone can do in a failed state ???

look at the weekend story where the body of a young girl was found in a cupboard in a shack. when the alleged perpetrator returned to the shack the saps tried to arrest him .the community said no, assaulted the cops and killed the suspect. clicks had court orders against the eff, look how that helped. i may have it wrong but now the integrity commission of the anc will decide if party members have a corruption case to answer. not the npa. look how the taxis told the minister of transport what to do with his covid restrictions. the list goes on ad infinitum thats the big picture. .

ota you have chosen the wrong analogy in appeasement . best you look closer to home and more recently and cite zimbabwe . that will be right on the mark,

If anybody was ever in doubt that we live in a society where a large proportion of "people", based on their behaviour, cannot even be classified as sub human.. Animals display far more control and logic in their behaviour. The events of the last few days just re enforces what many already know. Sadly this is something inherent in their genetic make up and culture and absolutely nothing can or will change that.

You not so veiled inference cannot go unchallenged...

As one of the fellow Clanners alluded to earlier in this thread, violence is not the exclusive domain of one grouping of people...at different and same times, all people of all hues have been perpetrators of violence against themselves as well as other living beings...the methods and motives may differ but violence was the end result...

We should never resort to generalisations as each person has their own thoughts, actions and words and, I for one, would not want to be held accountable for anything beyond me that I have nothing to do with save for some association by pigmentation...

my last observation . is anyone genuinely surprised by what happened ? we had ample warning this was going to happen. we do live in the murder capital of the world. and the rape capital. i am not surprised. just bitterly disappointed and desperately sad that life in south africa has come to this.

When people kill 9 year Olds and shove them in a cupboard, walk around with their mothers severed head in a bag, stab horses that they are supposed to look after, plunge a country into utter damnation because of greed and corruption, burn libraries and schools (I'll stop there), one cannot help but look closer at what the commonality is among the perpetrators of these acts and draw their own conclusions. I am not white by the way, not that that matters in any way.
A parting question, if 95 percent of horses dwelling at the start were Grey's, would you continue to back Grey's or would you draw a sensible conclusion based on facts and act in your own best interests accordingly?
