Maybe we should be like HK.
Race in only one province, maybe two, twice a week.
Ideal place would be KZN as we got the polytrack at Greyville but then we have the smaller version of Greyville grass and Scottsville is not for everyone.
A smaller version of SA racing would mean it would be easier to run and the we only left with the best trainers, the best jockeys, the best grooms and only the best stud farms would survive therefore our quality of horse would increase.
No more mediocrity just the best will survive.

....but that is unfair.....I think that the Fairview setup and polytrack is by far better than that of Greyville....who knew that there was a problem in PE as it has been hidden and managed by PHUM.....now that the wheels have come off that bad bus....no need to scrap it entirely....needs to be fixed... but who is going to pay for the new wheels.....

Hedley and Yvette are the most hospitable people you will ever meet. You are always made to feel at home with them to no end, part of their family, warm, passionate, loving, horse people. I only have 1 problem with their amazing home, a photo, of Copper Parade beating Via Africa in the Computer Form hanging on their wall. :silly: :silly: :P  If I had to loose to anyone I'm glad it was them.
A very very sad day for me in racing to see Yvette hand in her license as I know how passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated she is to her animals and people. The many happy hours spent at the track and in their company has been a huge privilege for me. I always thought that she and Hedley had the perfect set-up with their team "Dippin Blu" Wow how sad!! It makes me angry to say the least.
As for the Christmas tree, its been up for as long as I can remember all year round. There is a story behind it but I cant remember maybe because "too much good times".
Thanks Hedley and Yvette for all the great memories and hopefully a lot more to come.

I just seen your horse win easy, noticed your colours, not sure what happened to the call for black/club colours, however well done.

Horrific scenes, I would like to ask those who did this "what have those horses done to you?" The only way forward is dialogue. If those who pay you ignore you, then move on. Soon those who pay the wages will get the message when they cannot find people to work for them. Resorting to violence will get you nowhere and no job. Wake up.

I cannot comment on the wearing black colours for another 24 hours. What I can say is we will be demanding the right to protest peacefully.

Just hire 20 people to loot and burn the racecourse down , works for everyone else in this country

Easy hope you are going to protest Peacefully in next few days where you had the trouble in the Eastern Cape, and not in Johannesburg, Durban or CT .

Its " Easy " to call the odds thousands of miles away. Don`t take your trouble to Durban they don't deserve this. Get your Saboat going!

Black Arthur, how about telling me your name and if you represent GC racing in any way shape or form.

Perhaps then we can have a discussion on my "protest" and where I/ We should have it.

1:Now onto more pressing matters. Its days and still no word from the operator to the owners. The NHRA pretty much the same, I have had correspondence from Mrs Rowett but the email must have run on out ink because after the "facts" there was still no " my thoughts are with all through these trying times"

2: can someone please price up who the trainer was that paid the R100k for the problem to go away

3: Where are the famous 5 on this matter

4: where is MOD on this matter?

5: Had Betfred won the bid (i dod not fancy them anyway) then this would have been sorted because UK based company would lose it all not standing up for the rights of animals

6: The RA .....I have no words

7: how do we prevent this from ever happening again?
