Fairview Polytrack

Race 1

Sharon Kotzen
No 1 Gold Pact put up a very good run first time on the Polytrack and
we are hoping for another good run.
No 5 Lumos goes back in distance and I am trying Blinkers.
No 4 Masteroftheparty did not like the soft going last time out and I
am hoping for a much better run.
Tara Laing
No 6 Apollo Rock is having his first run on the Polytrack and I am
hoping for a better run than last time out.

Race 2

Sharon Kotzen
No 3 Katasha likes the Polytrack and has a reasonable draw. She will
run another good, honest race.
Jacque Strydom
No 6 Stylish Icon is a nice filly bt she may find this distance a bit short.

Race 3

Jacque Strydom
No 5 Convention has a strong each-way chance.
No 8 Red Forest: Not today.
Montana Turner
No 6 Ohsobright works so well but unfortunately has not been able to
bring that to raceday.
Sharon Kotzen
No 10 Wylie's Flame was a nice third last time out. I am trying her
over a bit further and from a nice draw, she should run a good race.

Race 4

Montana Turner
No 1 Vanilla Orchid: you can ignore her penultimate start as she hurt
herself. She is working very well and I am expecting a decent race
from her.
Sharon Kotzen
No 3 Seattle Sound likes this course and distance. She may have just
needed her last run so I am expecting a decent run from her.
No 6 Dettie will have Blinkers this time and I am hoping for a better run.
Hekkie Strydom
No 5 Oasis Queen : I am hoping she wins in this weak field.
Jacque Strydom
No 8 Settlement Day : Not today

Race 5

Jacque Strydom
No 1 Desert Wisdom : Not today
Sharon Kotzen
No 5 Desert Chief has a good draw and Charles Ndlovu knows him well so
I am hoping for an improved run
No 6 Counting Stars is coming back from a bit of a break. He enjoys
the Polytrack and could run a decent race.
Tara Laing
No 8 Brevin won very well last time out but this is a much stronger race.
No 9 Fake News works very well and did run an improved race last time
out. Both my runners must be included in all exotics.

Race 6

Hekkie Strydom
No 4 Microbe has a few to beat but I am hoping for a place
Jacque Strydom
No 5 Mbali : Not today
Tara Laing
No 11 Palace Queen was in a competitive field last time out. This is a
weaker race so include her in the exotics
Sharon Kotzen
No 12 Mistress Of Means is having the first run after her maiden win.
She could run into the money

Race 7

Tara Laing
No 3 Excelero is looking fantastic and is coming off a very good win.
he does not act like a nine-year-old and must be included in all
exotics.
No 8 Omega Onslaught is in a very competitive race si I have put a
claiming apprentice up. Include
Gavin Smith
No 6 Dawnbreaker is working well.
Grant Paddock
No 9 Alwahsh is trying the Polytrack. He has been showing good work on
this surface and a good run is expected.

Race 8

Alan Greef
No 1 Alpine Glacier is a nice horse and could suit the Polytrack
Sharon Kotzen
No 4 Twin Falls ran a very good race last time so I am hoping for
another good run.
No 9 Royal Agree was disappointing last time out and is not well drawn
but I am hoping for a better run.
Tara Laing
No 7 Di Me; you can put a line through his last run. He is working
very well and I am expecting a much-improved run. He has an each-way
chance.
Jacque Strydom
No 12 Pen-Chan; Not today.

STYLISH ICON (WIN)

Was 47/20 favorite to win in second start over the durbanville 1250m and finished in 8th place 3.55lengths off the winner

She was favorite because she ran second in her 1st start over the 1200m Kenilworth, but 4lengths off

So her 8th place finish was actually better than the second place
