Race 4: We are guessing about the fitness of Bela Bela and Silver Mountain- little between them but I would lean towards Bela. Our Destiny is racing fit and could cause an upset if the big two are still fat.
Race 5: Chevauchee is selected at the weights to beat Captains Flame. Overshadow and Fifty Cents are in with a shout. I can't find a place for Baritone at these weights.
Race 6: Bold Rex is my selection. Ovidio is classy, but prefers further. Helderberg Blue ran a shocker last time but has a shout at best. Open for the places.
Race 7: the official merit ratings are no help as many are affected by the weird rules- talk about MIS- information. Singapore Sling won well in Jhb and must be respected. Table Bay at his best is the one to beat. Gold Standard is my selection- he will enjoy the long run in and is on the upgrade. A strong and competitive field that could throw an upset.

Bela, top win, Silver Mountain, they didn't try and inch with this one. GvN sitting pretty quiet all through the straight. He gave her one smack down the neck with 50m to run.......

Let's see where Craven ranks with Horizon taking on his elders....
He isn't well treated but let's see how he runs.

Race8: Goodtime Gal is the model of consistency and gets my vote. Nightingale if at her best would win, but may need this run slightly. Fear Not won't be far off them. Tonya and Tambalang could improve to challenge.
Race 9: Very open race. My shortlist is Cape Speed, Smart Mart and Three Balloons.
Race 10: A very open race. Pride Rock has had two runs this season some way below his best. On his 2yo form he would win. Icon King is capable but has a very wide draw. Angora Wat is inconsistent but a threat at best. Choir of Angels, Silver Master and Gadget Man are all worth including. Counting Stars is a half brother to Big City Life, and put up a pleasing debut. He will have come on from that run and should not be long in winning his maiden, but may still need this experience.
