Memories are good(sometimes). Can u ruffle those memories?
Can you remember the horse that hooked you to the game?
For me, was a horse called Space Walk.

Funny u say that I was a bookie and when they changed the July result it was incredible from losing plenty to winning plenty
Roberto winning the Derby was big for me and also had to survive an objection but Mill Reef probably did it for me

What a great thread !!
I doubt anyone will remember mine, but he was a horse called Hans Kerrie.
He was trained off my dad's farm by Dr Naude. He was entire and raced until he was 10 years old. He had 94 starts, 8 wins (2 in the top division) and 17 places. I thought he was the most beautiful horse I'd ever seen. I loved him so much I used to plait him up like a show horse on race days.

Lol Dave, although obviously not to the level as you being a bookie, but having no knowledge of racing, it was incredible for me too, I knew I lost, but then I won and I really didn't know why.... That was it, done and dusted...

Have been losing interest badly lately but Miss Diana having a foal this week has rekindled it a bit
2 1/2 years to go but can't wait !!
Ps Most punters in the UK 1st catch the buzz watching the Grand National with your family as Kids and being allowed to pick a horse..
Desert Orchid winning the King George one Xmas is probably my earliest memory , seeing that bold jumping grey destroy the field still gives me goose bumps

My old man's horse called Spanish Prince. He won 9 and placed 29 times in SA. He was sold to Mauritius and there he won I think a further 5 and places ? Unbelievable animal.

Getting a phone call from Mark Sham when i was ill ,telling me to Put N Take Sound Surround has been my biggest buzz as an owner.
Clan Classique winning for a clan syndicate was also very special ...
Watching Frankel win the 2000 guineas was the WOW moment that will take some beating .
