As always going to be hard to pick them as lots of horses it's easy to make cases for.
Some not very fancied horses that caught my eye.
Killua castle. Looked way more comfortable in his work than tellina I thought.
Mr Roy. Comfortably beaten at scottsville but impressed me because looks the sort that will be better over time and and over this distance. I think he may well run a good one.
Have already backed July horses and although likely on the wrong ones I think mine have as good as chance as any with the right luck. often not the best horse , nor the best handicapped that win this. Love the odds on some good chances..good luck all

If the betting is a guide (taken from Hollywood), then (R3) Dynamic (3/1 into 2/1) and (R9) Same Jurisdiction (9/2 into 33/10) are the ones to be with come Saturday.
On collateral form lines, Dynamic does appear to have the majority of the field held. Snaith also appeared disappointed Dynamic didn't make the final July field as opposed to being the first reserve runner, he must have felt Dynamic would have been competitive. Maybe this race can be seen as a blessing in disguise, whilst drawn marginally better (than if in the July), if Snaith was confident of a bold showing in the July, then the support could be well founded against this calibre of opposition.
Same Jurisdiction is back on her home patch and is 2 from 2 over course and distance. Returning from a break last time out, she was desperately unlucky not to have caught and passed Hammie's Hooker who got first run. Considering she came from a long way back, I think this time around Marcus will be a lot less undecided. I don't think the pace of the race will be a concern as she has the ability to race handy or quicken off a slow pace. Something to consider, Same Jurisdiction finished ahead of Pine Princess twice and narrowly went down to Siren's Call over 1800m. Same Jurisdiction is going to be very difficult to beat despite the draw, ignore the market support at your peril.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Thanks Bayern..We are on the same page. There has been valid excuses in at least 2 of her 3 starts in JHB.

Deeno, thought her last run was your final straw with SJ, lol... I'm firmly in your camp come Saturday, the mile is perfect, draw irrelevant cause she won't be lighting up the screens upfront, she will finish like a rocket IMO and will win going away.

How's that Rosenberg form, we know it was quicker than Wylie Hall's 2000m time on the same day, but I'm not a fan of race times so, Vino Veritas 2nd to tamaanee that day won her next start by 2 then followed up by a narrow defeat to Ash Cloud the other day.. Amber Orchid 3rd, wins her next start.. Touch The Sky 4th, wins her next two starts and Enchanted Silk 5th also wins her next start.. Horses 2nd through to 5th behind tamaanee have all won their next starts.. Obviously not "wow" horses but not a bad bunch to beat by 4+lengths? Just an observation..

When you running with the big dogs, u can't piss like a puppy..

MOD BARLEY a nice eachway... While we all gazing at the dbn July, Gavin Lerena could ride the full card at Turfontein, he's on every favorite and I'm liking a straight line PA and Jackpot.
