Just under 24 hours to go and (for me) it's quite interesting to see how the betting has panned out since opening on Monday.

Made a point of putting in both Betting World (BW) and Hollywood's (HW) opening prices, in the main most have drifted, not alarmingly though, and these are quite noticeable shortenings since I've looked :-

R1) Fulcrum
BW (o/p) 9/2 - now 7/2
HW (o/p) 3.75/1 - now 7/2

R3) Dynamic
BW (o/p) 5/2 - now 15/10
HW (o/p) 3/1 - now 15/10

St Tropez
BW (o/p) 6/1 - now 9/2
HW (o/p) 13/2 - now 9/2

R5) Chestnut N Pearls
BW (o/p) 25/1 - now 10/1
HW (o/p) 25/1 - now 10/1

R6) Muwaary
BW (o/p) 33/10 - now 3/1
HW (o/p) 9/2 - now 33/10

Seventh Plain
BW (o/p) 16/10 - now 11/10
HW (o/p) 14/10 - now 1/1

R9) Same Jurisdiction
BW (o/p) 9/2 - now 28/10
HW (o/p) 9/2 - now 5/2

R10) Bad Boy Buddy Boy
BW (o/p) 7/2 - now 2/1
HW (o/p) 3/1 - now 22/10

Not saying they guaranteed winners, but worth noting, and check again tomorrow just before they jump.

Good punting.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I absolutely concur with you 100% here. I dont like LE, but I fancy the other ones that you refer to mate. Thats my quartet boxed. Especially like Ice Machine.

Seems many have forgotten what a good horse Futura actually is and how well it won the Met. Never mind a third last year in the July. Some say at those weights it's going to be impossible. Shall see come Saturday.
I agree with Dean, everyone has just brushed a side a good horse, We all forget his 2 great victories in Cape Town in good class as well. All everyone is talking about is the weight it has to carry, I don't think it will matter to much as Futura is a class horse, and i am sure horse fielding top weigh have won the July Before.Going to be boxing exactas with Majmu

Problem with FUTURA, 1. He's giving WYLIE HALL 6 kg's on last years run and he finished behind WYLIE HALL 2. FUTURA couldn't win with 53 kg's now he carries 60.00 Kg's 3. He's giving 4 kg's to LEGAL EAGLE who's joint top rated horse for this years VDJ.

In all honesty IMO FUTURA won't find a place even at his best.

tomorrow will show us how well the three year old actually do run. FUTURA is a big runner despite the weight.

Work off last years form lines and you will put yourself in the poorhouse. If Futura didn't get stuck behind Espumante I have no doubt that he would have won. He was 3 then he is 4 now and he's by Dynasty. I really can't see anything beating him tomorrow. Hope come tomorrow I won't have egg o n my face..

Exciting day ahead... First of all, those on course take care, look after yourselfs. Those who have taken bets and have runners respectively, I wish you all the very best of luck, we all have something in common and that is purely the love for these amazing specimens that put on a grand spectacle for us to witness. Some for poorer (usually me, lol) some for richer and then most for the insanely lucky... Win or lose, I'll salute the winner and those that got it right.

Have fun and good luck!
