I wish the course was the same as it was years ago but I have no doubt that the day-tripper has no perception of the implications of the tighter course. The July will not lose its appeal easily as the side attractions of the day are the "food" of the casual punter. If Racing was the reason they attended then turnover would be up everyday - These are people that are there for the entertainment aspect of the day and not strictly for the racing - If you told me the food was awful or drinks ran out by 3pm or that there was a crime-wave on course I would worry but a tighter track has no bearing on the day except for us loyal punters.

Well said Mr H. I personally cannot go to the July. I refused R2000.00 tickets.
