I love the merit rating system.
Punters loved the old system because it was easy to find standout bets on almost every card but nowadays its not easy with a more levelled playing field in handicaps
Ziets you clearly are biased and I get the fact that you want to prolong the agony for owners of mules for as long as you can. The Race Figure system put a horse in its place a lot quicker than MR. Its no wonder trainers are so protective of it.

With your track record I am not surprised. Any trainer of yours would be foolish to plan months ahead.

Mr Easy your track record is well established, there is no need to debate your volatilities. I am surprised that the NHA have not charged both your current trainers and your partners for contravening the rules regarding ownership, you give racing under the lap a whole new meaning. Solly Bhana was forced to deregister the horses he raced in his daughters name and register them in his. He got fined for his troubles. You should be no different.

You clearly just want to piss me off with your stupid assumptions but i will give it to you straight , i love merit ratings , as part of training them and even more as an owner. If it wasnt for this system i wouldnt be able to own horses (or so many) and wouldnt have had so many wins .and yes the fact that the merit rating system prolong racing careers is brilliant. I dont know any owner that do UNDERSTAND the old system and do UNDERSTAND merit rating system that want the old system back. Its only punters and big punting stables that will want it back . Prolonging a average horse career is great , why not. If the horse is sound and can keep earning then why not???

Volatility does not translate to my statement above
I have not ever met 1 trainer that plans to win a handicap
That far in advance.
So have a go at me but miss the point completely.

Because the program of meetings is not done a year (or 10 months like you want it) ahead but only 6 months so your wish is impossible . And i dont know anybody who is prepared to pay almost a year the the monthly keep to try and win a race after you dropped his rating over 10 months to make him a certainty in the race , in racing their is no certainties .
So to conclude , your statement is quite absurd and in fact impossible

Ziets answer me this simple question. Who usually makes the call to retire a horse and why.
Please be honest we not mugs here.

I do with my horses
And with most other in the stable i give my honest opinion and then owner can decide if he follows my honest opinion or not. I dont want a horse or help train a horse that i think cannot earn .
And if you dont want to be seen as a mug then put your name with your insults or personal questions
