Zumbucca runs on the 9th and will improve his claims to get a run but may well be too late ..

Imo all these horses that are assured of a run because they won this or won that, should not get that priviledge - we have MR - why not use it in conjunction with current form to determine who should get a run or not :

Frodo, listening to G. Hawkins on the Monday evening program with The Good, to me, it's sometimes difficult to truly understand what the criteria to make the final July field actually is. I say that because, in one breath he says, if the race were to be run tomorrow, then the horses in the top 20 will be in the final field - in the next, he says it's also at the discretion of Gold Circle whom they invite. Maybe I've misunderstood him, but TO ME, it sounds like there may be one or two runners with low MR's who make the final field, and some with higher MR's (than the one's I've just mentioned) that are omitted. So maybe when the final field decisions are made, current form may be a determining factor in the eyes of the selection panel.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
