Bob,see if you can upload the 1972 Epsom Derby..
Rheingold owned by Henry Zeisel who the old man was stationed with in the RAF was beaten by Piggot on Roberto..
Piggot jocked off Bill Williamson for the ride on Roberto,my dad always said if Williamson had kept the ride,Rheingold would have won.
Piggot was at he's supreme best to lift Roberto home and cost the old man a fortune..
They backed it ante post for months on end..
That is one of the best rides I have seen.

I backed both London News and Roberto and would say that Lester's win on Roberto was one of the greatest rides ever

it was weird watching the Epsom meeting yesterday where there must have been less than 200 people on course yet in 6 weeks time there will be over 150k people there for the running of the Derby. I cant wait for the 5 furlong sprint. It must go down as one of the most spectacular races of the year what with 20 or so runners all charging down the hill.

Never an easy track to ride on and I had one bet yesterday and felt Fallon had a very poor ride on Legal Waves, but one to follow ( the horse not Fallon)
