Everton outplayed them for most parts of the game. Rooney was pathetic.. The only shining light for MAN U was the Dortmund Buy. HE looks really good...

Must agree, the new signing Kagawa looked really useful.Always looking for the ball and looks
an intelligent player.
Carrick had a nightmare trying to mark Feillani, the belgium was like Claude Van Damme.
Out muscled United players and have you ever seen a player control the ball as much on his chest.
United did have Ferdinand,Evans,Smalling and Jones unavailable.Looked light at the back.

Piss Poor .
Out muscled.
Some decent individual performances.
As usual, Scholes should go, Evra was useless.
Out goes my bet

After the one match you cannot judge but if they play like that for most of the season then they wont even be playing on Thursday nights next year. Would be very interesting to hear from the United fans on the forum, but as usual whenever they lose you dont hear from them.

Scholes should go? 95 of 99 passes found a United player?

Was not the best first match but Everton away is not easy. Last season we lost the title there throwing away a 2 goal cusion in the last 5 minutes. With no cenetral defenders fit we were always goign to struglle agaisnt everton and fellani especially. Kudos to Everton though for playing hte right gameplan. THey were good value for their win last night.

Positives to take from the game for United - Kagawa looked good. I think his first half stats were 29 of 29 passes complete. Looked busy and seems to fit the new style. Also thought Vidic looked quite fit considering his layoff. Cleverley tried hard and waas robust, and as already stated we have a problem if we still relying on scholes to dominate games. He was class again last night. Pick of hte bunch was easily DDG. Could have beena big score if not for him. Slowly puttin gthe critics in their place. As he gets older he will beprobably the best keeper inthe world.

Negatvives - Evra with no competition really just does the bare necessities. Often out of postion, bad decisions going forward, a shadow of what he used to be. Nani must be the most irritating player to have on your team. When he is good he is golden, but my god when he is not he is absolute rubbish. He is never average and you never know what nani is goign to arrive. Rooney looks unfit and really should have been the change for rvp rather than wellbeck. Carrick playing cb makes our midfield problem even worse becasue now we using our best midfielder in defence. If it was so easy for that to happen every team would do it. Clearly showed we cannot do it for much longer. Also i dont like AV at right back. Rafael on the bench who is a RB was a bad decision imo.

But anyway, we have lost many 1st league games. If the season was over at the end of August i would be worried but er have 37 matches to go.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

I see you mentioned that Rafael was on the bench. I think that he was on a sofa somewhere in London watching the match as he is on loan to QPR for the season.

i was happy with game. De Gea looked way more confident than last season. Pity we lost but Everton played really well.

this was a brilliant 1st game by utd.imo the positives far outweigh the negetives and i can see this team going on to win the league with ease.a couple of players were below there best last night like nani, evra and carrick, altho to be fair he was playing out of position, but on the whole not a bad performance.i think sir alex got team selection wrong esp valencia who i rate as best attacking winger in premiere league.this utd team will bounce back and silence the critics and wen everyone is fit i cant c a team beating them in this league.beware the wounded animal.go utd you champions in waiting.lol.
