Has anyone ever seen this before, in race 2 at Kenilworth 27th October, TWO HORSE PAYED R1.00 a place on the tote:S
1ST One And Only 1.00
2ND Spanish Affair 1.90
3RD Bayard 1.00


Race 6, Urbane Knight trading 16-1 on the books (18/10 a PLACE) payed R1.10 on the tote:S

I think we should ask anyone who spots a REALLY BAD differential on the tote to post the amounts and the horse on this thread. Hopefully the RA will take notice and take Phumelela to task so that they can explain why there are these HUGE anomalies in the betting markets.

That would be a big step in the right direction.

I backed Charles Camoin on the books at 9/1 at the 3rd at Nottingham . It was paying R16.50 on the tote after the off . I refreshed about 5 times and the price stayed the same at R16.50 . After Charles Camoin wins it automatically refreshes and guess the price R8.50 .

PHUMELELA ARE FUCKING CROOKS THE BASTARDS . BOYCOTT THE TOTE AND TEACH THEM A LESSON . THEY ARE NOTHING WITHOUT US .

I'm just spit balling here, but perhaps it has something to do with the online product? I mean there are just too many discrepancies......How can they disseminate a product like this if it is patently wrong?

At the moment there is just no value about punting on the tote! Stick with the bookies until we get some kind of resolution.

This situation has become worse since the intro of the ATC. Stick with the fixed bets.

If there is any huge discrepency with the UK Win, Place, Exacta payout surely the British Tote will look into the matter after all those pools are commingled unless they are in cohoots with Phumelela !!! Just the other day the British Tote did rectify their Scoop6 dividend so they do verify / audit their payouts. Did any one notice how big the UK Pools are on Saturdays and when they have feature races ; Its well over the R200000 sometimes reaching R1500000 mark so they wouldnt want to damage their Tote system I think imo lol. As for the South African payouts im at a total loss.

I'm an amateur, but still keep my acc open to play PA'S, but playing 90% of my bets on Bettingworld. You put a bet on 1 min before the race starts on the tote for a place paying R3, and it gives you back R1.10. It happens all the time, screw them

I am convinced,that if there is no skullduggery, they pay commisions and fee's for co-mingling agreements and it increases the take-out.To my mind it is the only thing that makes any sense and may explain the "confidentiality agreements" What they got to hide?

I just had a look at the last few meeting locally and in the UK, there is definitely LESS R1.00 payouts on UK racing than on our local racing...

Rob you seem like the fundi on this stuff do you make anything from this finding?


WHICH racemeeting do with co-mingle with, cause I can never find info on this... I know in Australia (Victoria Tote) they indicate which meetings are stand alone and which are co-mingled.....

Greg,we have no details of the co-mingling agreements but all contracts have to have" benefits" to all parties,and if there are "middle men" they will all be getting a shine off the penny.
My question is why,so frequently,is there no profit margin,to pay punters(ie. money back only)
