Tote payouts!!! Enough is enough:X

A forensic audit was done and nothing is amiss.

Is there not some rule 72 or something about bringing the sport into disrepute etc Could in not be invoked if a priveledge holder complained to the relevant body that the false payouts were bringing the game into disrepute? Just asking

manipulation of the tote continues.
especially in PA,P6 and Jackpot races.
either bets are canceled after the jump or the co mingle guys from other totes back huge amounts on 2nd fav to make them fav???

All IT companies have IT fraud, banks, insurance, retail, manufacturing etc...
all have a forensic audit by the category 1 Auditors...the big 5.....
all of these big 5 Auditors have a forensic audit department.......
all of the staff have degrees...even MBA's...well educated..been there...done that..got the Tshirt...

unfortunately....none of these staff members have the skills to do a forensic audit...
most/if not all believe it is RISK MANAGEMENT.......
have quantitative and qualitative RISK MODELS which they use to score the RISK...
It is based on assumptions and no facts...
Management is happy as the base is covered with a report from the Auditors.


My humble opinion : -
unless SAFTOTE prints the database log tape for every race, 2 min before the jump and up to the all clear, no Audit company can give a report.

on what basis do the otherwise give a report?

It is obvious that there is funnies going on at the jump, during the race, and up to the all clear.
how is it that grown men and woman refuses to make decisions based on facts (printed log tape)?

Better even, create a web interface, display the log tape real time to the public.
would take a programmer less than a hour to do that?

Or would we rather pay the Auditors to give us a report on make believe?
Surely the RA wants integrity as a cornerstone?

when i read this kind of thing i am so grateful to be out of S A horseracing.yes i do miss it but living with corrupt people like this it is just not worth it.

Dave you are correct the 4th placed horse did pay R20....

Stop playing on the tote and teach them a lesson . Their is no way to audit the co-mingling of pools so we are always going to just bitch and moan .

I have never been a Casino player but with payout swings like these the Slot Machine comes to mind - I think it would be easier to predict the Dollar/Rand than to predict the payouts in any race lately - I hope the RA/NHRA will put pressure on Phumelela to sort this out because punters cannot continue in this fashion

Yet another example today:

Special club started at 4/1 and paid R2-80 a win (18/10)

I know why this is happening, but the regular punter on the street does not. Please RA, could you find some answers and have Phumelela explain to their punters why the dividends are so crazy?

If I were a punter in the totes and I put R6 on Special club to win expecting to get around R4 to R5 for a win and it returns only R2-80 I would be very unhappy. Start losing the R6 punters and the industry is not dying, it is DEAD!!!

Just some explanations to the masses would be a good start?
