Parreira had already stated before the World Cup that he has no intention of continuing as coach as he is missing life in Brazil.... SAFA have already confirmed the the next coach will be a south african... there are two front runners for the job, current assistant to parreria, Pitso Mosimane and Supersport United's Gavin Hunt.......

We should never analyse from the top downward. Rugby has successfully entrenched itself by creating winners and creating an interest at primary school level. Kids have played the sport for 10 years and then make a professional side unlike soccer where there is belief that a certain sector of society is gifted with a soccer gene far superior than others in this country. Individualism is promoted in this mindset and team work is never developed. Dribbling on your own against 5 others is played on the streets with no goals. This is not soccer. This is anti-soccer development. Why?
1. Football Administration:
i. under developed or no facilities
ii. No junior club development and or competition in the out lying and rural areas - not sure about the centres neither
iii. Too much money being channeled to enrich a few of the big team bosses - Big teams should be giving back to communities by developing the game throughout SA
iv. No development of all racial groups - Some highly skilled players being sidelined by prejudice
v. No coaching
vi. No mentors
2. Facilities
i. Not enough fields
ii. No control over the use of fields - deteriorating or destroyed grounds
iii. No one prepared to change this without receiving something in return
3. Players
i. No discipline
ii. not prepared to pay to be a member of proper organisations
iii. Sense of entitlement to play without paying
I know this because I am in this. I am chairman of a local social side. I love the game but fear it has no future unless more is done to develop the game for all. I have appealed to local government to develop a field for us. We currently use a rugby field at the moment. The bigger picture is not one field but 2 fields per small area or town
Solution: Look to rugby for the solution - Dont be too proud to seek assistance from rugby administrators. SA Soccer development is the key to tomorrows success not bringing a competition that we can never win at this point.
By the way I still have my bafana shirt on today and I am still extremely proud of our country and can only pray that France rolls over and loses 3-0 and Urguay beats Mexico 2-0. This is all it will take for the nations faith to rise again. I am afraid that anything else may result in more racial polirisation as one side starts pointing fingers and the other illogically denies at all costs.

Can someone explain how at the U17 and U20 Soccer World Cups African teams consistently finish amongst the top teams yet at every senior World Cup African teams fail to perform, despite the fact that many African players are playing for top European clubs.
Could it be that grass roots development is not actually the problem but rather the problem lies with the pathetic administration of local professional and senior national teams?
In respect of SA soccer everything is set up so a few fat cats who run the show mafiosi style can make obscene amounts of money instead of making sure the national team and professional players achieve their full potential.
In 2007 I attended a speech made by SA's number 1 sports scientist Tim Noakes where he said the quality of the senior management structures of the national and provincial teams will determine how our players perform. He mentioned that the Bulls Rugby team led by Heyneke Meyer had established a blueprint for the rest of the country to follow. He predicted we would win the 2007 Rugby World Cup and our rugby would remain strong for many years to come.
When you look at the chaos and greed that persists within SA soccer it's no wonder why we don't produce quality...
