It doesn't say too much for the 3yo fillies at the moment, at any rate those trained in the Cape, does it? Grail Maiden is one that could be absolutely anything and is probably a whole lot better than her current MR, but that draw...yikes!
Captain's Call runs this weekend and we'll see how she has come on from her 2yo season. Possible Dream is Gr 1 placed and deserves to be the highest rated horse, but all in all it doesn't look much more than a decent conditions race for 3yo fillies.

Hear, hear Hibs...I'm just as confused now, although it doesn't take much to confuse me!!!

The Odessa Stud Fillies Championship (Grade 2) marks the official start of the three-month Cape Sizzling Summer Season and the race, restricted to sophomore fillies, has been won by some superb athletes in the past, many of whom have gone on to make their mark as broodmares.
Last year’s race produced a brilliant finish with the Joey Ramsden-trained Mother Russia edging out Justin Snaith’s stable star Sparking Gem and in the year prior to that the Snaith-trained Captain’s Lover, who has since made her mark internationally, was victorious.
Mother Russia
Other superb fillies to have won are Special Key, Donatella, Joshua’s Princess and the David Payne trained New Zealand import Toccata.
Saturday’s race has attracted another top class field and the one striking feature is that seven of the 14 runners are by leading sire Captain Al which must be something of a record for a race of this calibre.
The Klawervlei-based stallion had an exceptional season last term finishing second on the national log and his record 30 juvenile winners goes some way to explaining the large number of his progeny in this race.
Highest rated filly in the event is Possible Dream, a daughter of Captain Al out of the Joey Ramsden yard, with the Glen Kotzen-trained Captain’s Call rated six points below her.
Possible Dream
Silvano has two runners in the race in Boniface and Field Flower while Captain Al’s sire, Al Mufti, has Secret Pleasure doing duty for the Eric Sands yard.
