Interesting conversation.
Even trainer Hayes said that Purton is a very conservative judge, because he rides so many short horses.
Only Purton himself and the connections will answer if the price is false.
I'm with Heindrich here, reputation of Purton precedes the prices that he rides.
Hong Kong public will back the jockey not the horse.
Remember , a few seasons ago on world pool day with the gold cup, Hewitson favourite on the tote , on a 10/1 shot in SA ,Hong kong public backing the jockey yet again.
And that's why you guys make money in hong kong, because you'll see through the hype.
But I must be honest you have to know your form if you want to back with Purton or go against Purton, that's critical.
This 3 lenghts spoken about a Purton ride is subjective, and whenever subjectivity comes in, you can find your own value.
Ask the guys that cleaned Hong Kong out and left the ticket uncollected, it had nothing to do with subjectivity or betting, all to do with stats, thousand and thousand of hours of stats, that culminated into their biggest pay days.

But that wasn't Purton. You saying every time they punt a horse they backing the jockey? All different jockeys then cause why would the HK public back Hewitson?
The late money in HK is deadly nevermind who is riding.
Sorry I see what you mean.Hewitson riding here in SA but because he rides there they backing him

Maureen Haggis told him his fortune, and she would know, her Dad was the best that ever rode a racehorse. Purton couldn't shine his boots!!
My considered opinion!

Yeah Maureen Haggis reckoned one of the worst rides she has ever seen.
And the muppets response .......she must have been on the drink.

Can we see a PA carryover in HK today?
Around 14 tickets left after only 3 legs.

A bookies day like no other in HK today.
6 races down and part of the trifecta has been carried over 5 times and the quartet all 6 races.
PA R1600 after 3 legs.
