The Guineas
Top class field- this is a well above average year for the Classic colts.
My selections in order
1. Charles Dickens. Tough draw, and goes the mile for the first time, but should get it comfortably on pedigree and his prep run was breathtaking. Skinny odds but my banker in a tricky pick 6.
2. Cousin Casey. A very tough draw but has beaten most of the locals giving them 2kg so is a clear second choice and the biggest threat to CD. Collateral form with the Jhb runners during KZN season gives him the edge over them.
3. At My Command. Gets a draw for a change and has run great races from bad draws.
4. Shoemaker. Progressive sort and was badly positioned last time which gave his stablemate a soft lead. Should turn the tables.
5. Le Morne. Has a bad draw again but has a good turn of foot. Will be running at them late.
6. Anfield’s Rocket. Has done nothing wrong and could be better than the other Jhb runners but also a tough draw and has had to travel.
7 Union Square. Was able to get a soft first run on the others in the Dingaans, but could confirm. Has a nice draw.
8. Money Heist. Much improved last time and could have more to come

.....fortunately Gallop TV was airing the prerace interview with Glen Kotzen while these fools were all over the shop with venues that cant pull a pound.....:S
