No Integrity of NHRA

It was seen yesterday on NHA changes that a previously defaulted trainer has been given a training license again (yes, a “special” license) after leaving behind numerous service providers owed hundreds of thousands. He was allowed to work on Tellytrack , against NHA rules, while he used that to pay off his Phumelela debt having promised all his creditors by all that’s holy, that as soon as Phumelela debt was settled he’d pay off these outstanding debts.

On being reminded of these debts a few months ago one of the creditors, shavings/bedding amount of R200 000.00, was told that the 3 years was up so nothing could be done to him anyway ? Rather cold blooded response ?? He offered to pay R500 per month when he could afford it!!

These creditors included small business owners that to date are still battling to recover from the loss of over R40 000. It includes vets who treated horses not only for racing but for colics at 2am on winters nights.
Includes farriers who have to pay staff as well as buying the shoes and nails cash as no credit given.
Includes feed merchants who went out of business having already paid out for feed and couldn’t recover these losses.

None of these businesses tried to default him for 2 reasons……
1 it costs R20 000 to get a judgement in court to give to NHA to apply for default. Mr X is a good example. Took New Turf 2 years and R30 000 for the judgement only to have Vee Moodley decide that HE could use his discretion and not enforce the default. So no gaurentee that you’ll get the default from NHA anyway.
2 the trainer PROMISED on his kids lives to all these loyal suppliers that he would settle the debts .

However Hyde and Moodley still see fit to give him a license to train again …..INTEGRITY, THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS

Not one of these horses came from bush racing.
One horse was found in an informal setting with a broken hock. Unfortunately due to the nature of the injury and excessive pain the horse was euthanised before a scan for microchip could be done.
However all the others were scanned. Only one had been correctly retired with documentation.
Durbs told you I can’t be bought .This was handed to NHA 14 days ago to be only be told a investigation will be opened .Moodley and Hyde and 1staff employed to look into the Integrity of Racing..
Not a word about NHRA official who had a mare and foal euthanised because of the condition they were found in

Mark well done for exposing this - I have already sent the link to a number of websites, newspapers and have tried the Carte Blanch and Devi contact emails. I have also forwarded this on to the SPCA National chairman and asked for assistance.

It is high time that exposure is given to these guys who act like they are answerable to no-one. They are a law unto themselves and a disgrace to the sport they supposedly serve.

How could anyone who has done this be allowed back into the industry before making good or be considered in good standing???

Again I blame NHA for using the rules as it suits them.

This particular person gave his word to his service providers that they would be paid so they didn’t pursue default judgements but here he is back to do it again.

A horse transport company has spent R60 000 on getting legal judgements on 2 people only to have NHA refuse to default.

This above person was allowed to break the NHA rules so that he could work for Phumelela and pay off his debt to them but as soon as that was over then the others were shown the finger

......where is this oke going to train now if no one will provide any credit to him for services.....:huh:
