Wow - data intelligence - audience numbers - strong performance - attracting new viewers on a daily basis finding – viewers mirror the demographic profile of all South Africans –

And wait for it…..A maiden plate run at Kenilworth as Race 1 with a 11 horse field on Wednesday 20 April 2022 @ 13h05, with average turnovers for the race was declared “The top performing broadcast to date …. Which attracted a unique audience of 66 025 viewers”

All racing operators’ should be fighting each other to run their flagship races on a Wednesday (around the 20th of the month) at 13h05.

HollywoodBets and Gold Circle, take note that the 20th of July 2022 falls on a Wednesday – According to Stephen Watson’s market intelligence – you should consider moving the HB Durban July to 20th of July 2022 and run the race of 13h05 if you want to maximise your audience and viewership.

That sums up the ridiculousness of this 4Q rubbish in yet another media announcement.

......the question is.....who are they trying to win with all this spin.....

those that pay their salaries - Mrs Slack and her Daughters - I hope someone tells them they are being lied to

EITHER MRS SLACK GETS IT OR SHE DOESN'T

All Mrs Slack need to do is read this quote from Sportinglife.com after Claymore's win at Royal Ascot:

Delighted owner Mary Slack said: “I’m really thrilled and delighted. We thought he would run well in the French Guineas but from a terrible draw he was hopeless. This was the return. I hardly watched really. I couldn’t be more excited and thanks to Jane who has been brilliant. She has had a great week. I’ve mainly had horses in South Africa, but I’ve been in racing for a long time. I have never been to these heights before.”

Thereafter Mrs Slack must call for the unedited broadcasting of Claymore's race on Channel 240 and the immediate crossing over to the 4Q studio once Claymore crossed the winning post.

Cecil Mthembu, the in studio presenter, had absolutely no clue that Mrs Slack (the person who pays his salary) has just won the race. Cecil got stuck into Dettori for losing on the odds on favorite with no mention of the SA connections on the winning horse. One can assume that the 4Q in-studio Production Manager was/is as clueless as Cecil. One could further assume that all personnel involved with the 4Q production team (whose salaries are also paid by Mrs Slack) were fast asleep. Mr Watson was exerting himself 100% on the media release above for self-preservation.

After Cecil's babbling about the horse that crossed the line second, 4Q moved onto something more important and of greater heights than Claymore's owner had ever experienced before.

Zero understanding of Horseracing and too many token appointments is evident for all to see.

@ Saint T. The last time Claymore ran in the French Guineas, they never show the race.

Cecil maybe should have known, but how many punters in South Africa knew that Claymore was owned by Slack. They will know more things about Dettori than Slack.

The producer of the show will know in advance which races they are showing and should provide information of interest if there is any. Also not many will know that, Slack had another runner prior at Ascot during the week owned by her in partnership with Coolmore. It was ridden by Moore, trained by O' Brien and was by Galileo. Although it ran off the board, Aikhal, should be watched in future. She might have more partnerships.

Also Ridgemont Stud won a race as well under their UK banner name, Barnane stud. It was the money runner, Candleford.

To watch Royal Ascot I do not understand why one would prefer to watch ch240 when we were spoilt with a dedicated first class show from SuperSport whose viewers would have seen the interview with winning owner Mrs Mary Slack. Yes, we heard Mary’s words live and did not need to read it in SportinLife the next day.

Watson is busy crafting a press release on the blackout experienced on 4Q’s Racing 240.

Watch this space and don’t blink otherwise the blackout will make a comeback:

If racing is to be saved beyond the Western Cape then HWB, Bortz and Gold Circle need a broader plan to take over Racing 240. What the Ngong racing product is to SA is what SA is to global consumers of Racing 240. AN EMBARRASSMENT

The stakeholders of Cape Racing have rejected Savage, Fundi and Watson's bottomless pile of cash (and crap) in favour of HWB and Bortz.

How can the South African horseracing product be taken seriously in a global horseracing industry when we have Watson and Fundi performing at a level of an apprentice with no technical know-how? and there are no consequences????

These jobs are NOT 4 YOU NOR U nor is this industry.

The rejection of 4 Racing by the Western Cape is a step in the right direction to saving racing. Savage, Fundi, Watson and Gordon underwhelming Dog and Pony Show was a miscalculated shot in the foot.

I like Ngong Racing, no embarrassment at all to see Professional Vets like Patsy Sercombe, Leslie Sercombe, John Sercombe and other role players sustain their racing without looking for bailouts and handouts from other regions.

They are not racing expensive horses.
