What a disappointment Wine Tasting was, even a 125-1 shot beat it.

I concur - and I am now very worried about Wine Tasting - somehow made it to the last leg of the P6; hopefully WT can be positioned towards the middle without losing too much ground; but given the draws, Speechmaker is a real danger - IF seeing out the extra 200m ...

Did not see the race, but Frodo must be right about the draw thing

They closed down the outside of the track and had the starting stalls middle inside. although they had a false rail at the 400m nobody was using it. If you looked at the head on you could see the outside was more lush than the inside indicating that they cut and rolled down the inside and not the outside. I think they are trying to negate the bias.

I always like to watch the first couple of races before playing a p6 to see where the better going is. It was decidedly middle inside from race 1.

Mr H...in your territory...I respect your and Frodo's comments...;) Kenilworth belongs to PeterD...B)
and I especially like durbs post about Coenie de Beer ;)
what I liked about the Vaal track...is that a poor draw may be overcome...by a good jock...;)

a) OCEANIA (P Strydom) fly jumped leaving the stalls, landing awkwardly, throwing her head back and making contact with Jockey P Strydom’s face. This resulted in Jockey P Strydom becoming incapacitated and as a consequence, he was unable to assist this mare in running. This incident was corroborated by the Patrol film.
Jockey P Strydom was attended to by both the paramedics and the Course Medical Officer following this race.
