Stradivarius attempts to become the first horse in history to win three SUCCESSIVE renewals of the Qatar Goodwood Cup.
He has won eight races that fall under the QIPCO British Champions Series umbrella and requires one more to equal the record nine that Frankel achieved in 2011 and 2012.

A new race being staged in 2019 - the Alice Keppel Conditions Stakes for fillies, on day two, is named after one of King Edward V’s mistresses Mrs Keppel who was accompanied by the King and his wife to the races then.
So too the Lillie Langtry run on day 5 is also named after one of the King’s lovers.

Just a word of caution. The weather is forecast to be unsettled and there may be showers on Tuesday and Wednesday which may affect the ground.
The clerk of the course has also said that he has watered every day last week
The more rain, the better it is for Dee Ex Bee.
If the ground is fast, nothing will get close to Baatash. On good ground or better at Goodwood no horse has finished within 2L of him. If it gets soft, re-assess.
Gosden stable have been talking like Too Darn Hot is back to his best. They have said mea cuppa regarding his first few runs this year where they admit that they made the mistakes. They also say that an easy, downhill mile is around his optimum trip as he has bags of speed. Personally I would recommend waiting to see what the draws are like. If TDH gets a low draw that will be very much in his favour as the draw is a crucial element in 7f and 8f races at Goodwood
Later in the week, Hermosa to go for the Nassau. In my humble opinion 1m2f is the trip that she may be best over (which says a lot considering her 1m record). I reckon any soft ground will help.
Having been to Glorious Goodwood a couple of times I can say that it’s the most gorgeous racecourse in the world
