I find it quite strange that in the 3rd, there is a Wilge/Mauritz baby that Marcus is up to ride, however Gavin is on course and has no mount in the same race..... Makes me wonder if he did actually have to step off Hawwaam to ride Cascapedia in JHB...... Or if Mdk called Marcus up after the unfortunate mis hap when Hawwaam got scratched at the start...

I wouldnt leave the Shams runner - Gimme the fire out of anything... Its best runs have been around the turn and has been close on a few occasions. the poorer runs have been down the striaght... at 9/1, i make this a good EW bet

If Barahin cannot beat a field of this nature, then he doesn't deserve his place in the final VDJ field. Years gone by, this race always produced a " finisher" in the July, not so much so in recent times

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
