Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Makes me wonder if he did actually have to step off Hawwaam to ride Cascapedia in JHB...... Or if Mdk called Marcus up after the unfortunate mis hap when Hawwaam got scratched at the start...

GL is also benched later in the week by De Kock when Marcus rides Condor Gulch in JHB.. interesting..

It seems that Gavin can only ride at 57 kgs...perhaps Mdk did NOT want any overweight carried.

I hope they take Tarrys deposit. His horse made the contact not Musi. As for the intimidation, if that gets upheld then Striker would have been 100s of winners short of what he is.

Absolutely no chance of being upheld.

Sorry to say but Hewitson is so much better letting another jockey set the pace for him.
He usually places his horses nicely somewhere in the pack but from the front he still has plenty to learn I think.
Hong Kong going to be an eye opener for him, very tactical racing and if you get your fractions wrong your support from trainers is going to dwindle.
He is still very young and full of promise but he has to work on his front riding tactics.

BTW he has a poor strike rate on Favorites!!!
