I HAVE BEEN LIMITED TO A R 200 Pick 6 per meeting

wat a bloody joke. One of our BIGGEST SPORTS BETTING outfits has LIMITED ME TO R 200 MAXIMUM bet for a Pick 6 per course.

I quote " If u take a pick 6 for R 180.00 you CANNOT take the same pick 6 again for MORE THAN R 20

Further to this, should u add 1 horse in a leg or remove 1 in a leg, please note that this is seen as a DUPLICATION of the bet & would RESULT IN 1 WINNING BET BEING CANCELLED :evil: :evil:

are u guys for real ? limiting ME to R 200 for a P6 per course / per meeting.

how on earth can i try & WIN the 10 MILLION u claim that is on offer. You guys are a joke & need to grow some balls.

On SUNMET DAY I took 7 x Pick 6 - outlayed R 2,700 in TOTAL - I LOST EVERY BET. DID THEY LIMIT ME THEN - NO THEY TOOK THE CASH WITH OPEN ARMS.

Who else has had sh!t with book makers / sports betting ?

Truth is a WON part of P6 last Saturday & another TINY percentage about 5 weeks ago......... THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I HAVE BEEN " CAPPED " BUT THEY HAVE DENIED THIS TO ME ON THE PHONE A SHORT WHILE AGO.

they will review my being " CAPPED " in 30 days time.

Bookmakers no longer exist in this country , catch a bet and they limit u, it's an absolute joke

The answer is simple - take your pick 6 on the tote.
Punters who take pick 6s through the open bet/ bookmakers will argue that by doing so, they will get a better return. This, however, can only be true if those punters have a significantly higher strike rate than the average. If they have the same average strike rate, then if all the money went into the tote pools, they will be no worse off, and the stakes pot for owners will be enhanced.

The bookies ensure that this remains true by limiting those few who are successful, whether by luck or by skill.
It is generally estimated that more than half of pick 6 bets are to bookies and not to the tote. Imagine if all our pick 6 pools were twice the size that they now are??

I had a issue with world sports betting who limited my account after I had a win,in fact and was told after 30 days I can ask them for a review.Funny enough I had a very bad losing streak for a few months and decided to email the department to review my account and the next day I was locked out of the account.I keep wondering if they knew it was a big minus and not in a plus.
Can anyone explain why they spend so much on advertising, sponsoring races and dressing the presenters if they don’t want customers.
I will still take my pick 6 bets in cash with a bookmaker,especially with Hollywood as I get paid out quicker,better service than a tote.In a tote if you bet R3000 and have to collect R2000 back then it becomes a issue with the teller.Dont have cash..must give you a voucher etc.
And anyone who thinks by playing pick 6 on the tote must think again.The only stakes that would increase is the steaks on the directors plates.
In the old days before fancy salary’s and when racing was first priority I never played a tote bet with a bookmaker.If tote turnovers doubled the owners wouldn’t see any benefit for a long time as the gravy train needs filling up.

The stakes pool is a fixed percentage of the tote pool, so enhanced tote pools will directly benefit owners. Obviously, they would also enhance the operator's earnings.
In this day and age I don't understand why you would bet over the counter for any significant amount.
I do my exotics online through an interbet account, where you can choose to bet directly into the tote via their platform. Once you are FICA'd then withdrawals into your bank account are quick and efficient.

Let me enlighten u to what has since transpired.

winning P6 bets taken on Sat 18 May GREYVILLE.

I took six P6 perms..... this is what they cost, R 288, 48, 260, 160, 170, 177

Five of them WON ( the 48 NOT ) My biggest payout was on the 288 perm...... the OTHER 4 winning perms were tiny percentages.

On MONDAY I withdrew a fair chunk of my WINNINGS - & I left 3,500 in the account for the new weeks racing.

On tue & wed i lost a bit...... THEN WED. afternoon I get a LONG e.mail from THIS REPUTABLE SPORTS BETTING OPERATOR :evil: telling me that THEY have REVERSED my WINNING STAKES on the 4 smaller P6 winning tickets....... why - because i had EXCEEDED by NEW LIMIT of R 300 that they said i Had. they would only let the P6 of 288 perm stand..

They proceeded to DEDUCT off my account R 3090....... & now i was put in THE RED, & told that now i had to put money back into my account to get out of a NEGATIVE BALANCE.

I did challenge them - when did u tell me i was RESTRICTED TO P6 PERMS of a MAX. R 300 ?
If I was RESTRICTED - how was it possible i could have taken these bets ?

eh........ guess what - THEY FORGOT TO TELL ME ( by e.mail, watsup or phone call ) that I had been restricted to R 300 per centre for P6

they proceeded to REFUND ME MY R 3,090 & put me back in the black. JOLLY GOOD OF THEM.

& guess what my NEW LIMIT IS R 200 for P6 perm per racing centre per meeting.

Elvis u lucky R 200 my limit was set at R 50 after taking abt R 30k in 2017 from them ill be honest i have not won big since then but have closed my account as they would not increase my bets.Bet with the best se moer !

....the tote may be shyte...but no where as bad as this....these exotics played with the tote are hassle free....you put you take....no drama....unless you want to flash your cash.....but nothing wrong getting paid direct in bank account.....unless you dont have a bank acc or dont want your wife to know.....:whistle:

Elvis,you can use my account,I never get restricted because I'm one of those suckers(read 99 % of their clients) that play small and lose on a regular basis.

What I find most frustrating about this site is the amount of Punters who have big mouths and who cannot wait to rubbish Racing and many of us in Racing, yet they themselves do not actually bother to support the Tote, from which Stakes are directly enhanced.

So, whether I agree with them or disagree with them on various issues, the likes of Muhtiman, PeterD, Craig Pienaar etc are the ones whom I appreciate and take seriously on this site.

I have no problem with bookies at all. I am only referring to the Open Bet.
