I disagree with you there Bob.
I have no clue who they talking about, and that's because I'm not in the know.
Racing must become transparent to every person not just the owners, trainers and jockeys.
Doesn't the average punter have the right to know what's happening in the game he punts?
In football do they say a player is having a disagreement with someone at their club?
No,they give names whose unhappy and if they can a video will be uploaded on the net.
Why are people so scared to name the persons involved?

Bob has it correct the post has served its purpose.
To respond to Craig there was no sucker punch. The individual has a history of verbally abusing people and this time he took it too far. Perhaps for clarity and fairness Craig you should mention that the assistant was in the presence of his child when this abuse occured and in my opinion this made the situation even more volatile. There are witnesses.
As for the popularity of the ex GC director perhaps you should speak to some of your fellow conditioners. There have been many calls supporting the assistants action.

OTA, you listen to your biased informer. His son was there i agree and then tell me was he sitting in the bakkie when hit? The general opinion at Summerveld is that he was wrong to hit him and I am told that he was upset and wanted to apologise but I don't think he has yet. If he had just done that it would have been the end of it.We will let the inquiry take place and see.

I have been sent a screenshot of some comments made and subsequently altered. These comments mirror the information given to me. Craig you are deluded if you think things are all rosy down there. It seems that certain people hanging in the right circles do as they please and rule by fear.
The Gold Circle board should investigate the situation. From the sounds of things its a pity the assistant was pulled off. The lesson wasn't completed.

Hi OTA, I am here right now and am here 3/4 a week with trainers and although you are right that all is not 100% rosy but it never is with everyone trying to get an edge and or doing stupid things so the manager has to keep them in line. The view with all I have chatted to is that it was wrong and the assistant has just brought a whole lot of problems onto himself as GC has taken it up and there will be an inquiry as the manager is an employee of GC and by the way was the same person that organised accommodation on GC property for him and his son.

Craig, there are GC members and owners that want this process to be followed through with and a proper investigation needs to take place. GC needs to be very sure that the manager has never displayed this behaviour before.
The idea that this was an unprovoked lashing out at someone with an absolutely irreproachable record sounds like a Disney movie. Let the process begin and the chips fall where they may.
